Recently, on social media, a famous TikToker couple with more than 2 million TikTok followers named Tu Huyen Nghe An faced a wave of fierce controversy from the online community after posting a video reviewing a phone market in Shenzhen, China.
"This is a market that anyone who sells phones would never dare to reveal to anyone," said Ms. Tu Huyen (Truong Thi Huyen) in the review clip. She said that this market sells many different types of iPhones and phone accessories at very cheap prices.
A person in her crew in this clip also held an iPhone 13 promax and said that it had been remade here, at a very cheap price, when sold in Vietnam it is considered 99% genuine (also known as iPhone Like New, which is understood in a close and simple sense as used iPhones - PV). According to Mai Tu, an iPhone 7 here costs only 300 thousand yuan (about more than 1 million VND).
Just a few hours after being posted, the clip reviewing the phone market of Tu Huyen and her husband has received a lot of anger and condemnation. Especially from those who are doing business and trading phones in the country.
Many stores even posted notices not to receive this TikToker couple when they come to buy products because both of them "are giving one-sided information, causing misunderstandings to consumers, especially those working in the phone industry".
In the face of fierce controversy from netizens, Tu Huyen and her husband posted an apology status on their Facebook page with a blue tick. The couple admitted their lack of knowledge and will be more careful in future reviews.
The original post reads as follows: "First of all, my husband and I sincerely apologize to everyone, especially those in the telephone industry, for our words that are not really correct and lack understanding of the telephone industry. We realize that there are words and statements that are not really correct and accurate. My husband and I sincerely apologize to everyone and hope everyone will sympathize and forgive us. My husband and I will be more strict and careful with our words and statements in the near future."
However, as of this morning (April 23), the couple's blue-ticked Facebook page has been locked for unknown reasons. This has left netizens extremely confused. The social networking platform TikTok, with more than 2 million followers and more than 67 million likes, is still active. However, the TikToker couple has turned off the comment feature.
In fact, the phone market in China has existed for a long time. However, it is impossible to evaluate the quality of the products here or conclude that "many stores in Vietnam import cheap products from this market to sell at 3-5 times higher prices" as in the posted clip.
"Misjudging or being biased will cause viewers to lose trust and have an incorrect negative view of the source of the goods. Moreover, isn't this a move to support products of unknown origin?", social media users were indignant.
Currently, the drama surrounding the phone review clips of Tu Huyen and her husband is still a ho.t topic on social networks.
Mai Tu (born in 1992, Nghe An) and his wife Truong Thi Huyen (born in 1994, Nghe An) built a TikTok channel that attracted more than 1.9 million followers thanks to content revolving around extremely funny and realistic family life. For example, Mai Tu will try to play the role of his wife before going to bed, pretend to feed the newborn bab.y Longevity milk, tell stories about giving birth...
Even though it's just a script and the couple pretends to act, the interesting dialogue, humorous set-up, and characteristic Nghe An accent make each video go viral and receive a lot of interactions.
Those who follow the couple wonder how they found each other, because their personalities are extremely compatible, both are cheerful, willing to act and be funny.
Through a program, Tu Huyen shared that the chance to meet each other was because Huyen wanted to transfer her clothing store because it was on the verge of bankruptcy, Tu was trying to start a business. Although the deal was not successful, Tu invited Huyen to work as an employee for his online store. After 2 or 3 weeks of working, while Huyen was sympathetic to Tu's gallantry, he developed feelings for her.
The wife revealed more, not knowing what the intention was, "The basic salary in my hometown 4-5 years ago was about 3-4 million, but he paid 7 million."
However, at that time, her mother-in-law was smart enough to understand her intentions and quickly warned her: "You can be an employee, but if you have any intentions, that's not allowed!". A few times when they were flirting, Huyen received a call from her mother-in-law: "If you go out with Tu, tell him to go home!".
Before becoming the national mother-in-law who appeared in many videos of the current Tu Huyen Vlog channel, she had frankly forbidden her because she had several tattoos. Huyen once confided that she was often sad and discouraged, but when she saw Tu was determined and had her own opinions, she decided to persevere with this love story.
"I saw the couple working hard until 1-2am to deliver each bag to the street at 2-3am, I saw the couple working hard together, I changed my mind." So after only 4-5 months of dating, the two quickly decided to get married. She also worked hard with her husband.
Together they built a career from an online store of only a few dozen square meters, not enough mone.y to date. Now married for more than 5 years, both are developing a pretty good business, buying a house and a car, and also developing content on the TikTok channel to support sales.
As a good wife who accompanied her husband in difficult times, Huyen now reaps sweet fruits that many people admire. Known as the "national husband", in clips about daily life, Tu loves his wife very much, often takes care of the children, and is the one who takes the initiative to admit mistakes... Moreover, his parents-in-law are always on his daughter-in-law's side. Tu said, "Sometimes my mother makes orange juice for this person while I sit and watch." Whenever the couple quarrels, Huyen often "tells" her husband's sins to her parents-in-law so that he is "questioned".
Tu and Huyen also won the sympathy of netizens when they opened a zero-dong kitchen next to Vinh hospital, helping people in difficult circumstances with free meals. Notably, all costs to maintain the restaurant are paid by the couple themselves, without accepting donations.
