Ms. Thuy said that in order to protect her legal rights when directly raising her two children after the divorce, she counter-claimed and asked the court to divide these assets. The defendant estimates that the current assets are worth more than 22 billion VND and wants the value to be divided in half.

Previously, Ms. Thuy also asked the court to divide her 50% of the assets including: 10 houses and land in Ho Chi Minh City, 99% of the value of capital contribution, 31% of the shares. Accordingly, Ms. Thuy wants to receive the property and repay the police 50% in cash (more than 39.1 billion VND). The defendant determined that this was the amount of property he and Mr. An created during the marriage. In total, Ms. Thuy wants the court to consider allowing her to receive a total of more than 50 billion VND in assets. In addition, Ngoc Thuy also asked the jury to determine that the apartment in her name in District 7 (HCMC) is her private property.
