SEVENTEEN bất ngờ bị tẩy chay vì nghi dính líu đến ông trùm Diddy

To help idols set a record every time a music product is released, many K-pop fans often buy albums in bulk and throw them away, creating a huge amount of plastic waste. The boy band Seventeen is a prime example.
SEVENTEEN's latest album "Best Album: 17 Is Right Here" is "storming" the music market with a "huge" achievement with 2 million copies on the first day of sale. This number is indeed "shocking", confirming the hotness of this cult group.
However, besides the epic comeback, another issue is also "hot" on social media, causing "carats" fans and the Kpop community to be outraged about the album SEVENTEEN being indiscriminately dumped on the streets of Japan.
Specifically, "card fans" bought the album only to peel off the "genuine" corner cards and get fansigns, then discarded the album in Shibuya with the message "please feel free to use it" even though they spent a lot of money to buy it. Poor albums were left with broken boxes, bare CDs, photobooks of oppas were also scattered on the pavement.
Because each album usually comes with photo cards randomly, fans have to buy a large number of albums to increase their chances of getting the photos they want, or collect enough photo cards from the group members.
In response to this incident, netizens expressed intense outrage, and "stoned" the SEVENTEEN fandom for their unconscious "garbage" behavior. Many people believe that this is a manifestation of an "irresponsible" section of fans who are only interested in owning corner cards regardless of the music value and environmental impact.
After the post was widely surfaced on X, some fans in Japan posted a correction that the number of albums thrown away above was not from the SEVENTEEN fandom but from sellers - intermediary sellers who bought in bulk, peeled off card items, offline codes resold for profit.
Not to mention, some album agents collect orders to ship abroad, keeping the album box will increase the shipping cost. Therefore, many people choose to buy only "album guts", which happens when the box is left behind.
However, many fans still think this is an unacceptable act. If you love an idol, you should also respect what is related to them. The idols put a lot of emotional effort into the album, and they will definitely be sad if they see this scene.
In addition, this action not only causes loss of urban aesthetics but is also a thorny environmental issue as well as disrespecting the contribution created. However, plastic material from CDs and album boxes is difficult to recycle, if thrown away indiscriminately, it will last for hundreds of years, seriously affecting soil, water and ecosystems.
Moreover, producing albums in large quantities also consumes many natural resources such as wood, water, energy. This contributes to increasing the burden on the environment and climate change. The culture of buying "racing" albums of K-pop fans needs to change. Instead of buying albums just to support their idols in terms of sales, fans should focus on enjoying the music and appreciating the artistic value of the product. Entertainment companies also need to be responsible for educating fans, encouraging smart consumption and limiting waste.
To address the root of the problem, the Korea Environmental Movement Federation (KFEM) called on K-pop companies to stop these marketing activities because they only increase pressure on domestic waste disposal capacity. In particular, there are currently many digital formats that can replace hard disks.
An unnamed entertainment official revealed that the process of manufacturing eco-friendly products takes more time and effort, as well as being 10-15% more expensive than usual. Experts and critics criticized the K-pop industry for reacting too slowly and taking advantage of the "pro-environmental" label to burnish its image. To be truly greener, they should just release a non-physical album or release a single version to discourage batch buying.
