Quan Anh was born in Phu Khe carpentry village, Bac Ninh. His parents both worked in the military, but Quan Anh had artistic qualities from a young age. Wrapping a melon in a towel, he went from Saigon to Hanoi to take the Theater and Cinema exam and then luckily passed, his dream of becoming an actor with Quan Anh was wide open. After graduating from school, he was accepted into the Youth Theater, part of the Body Theater troupe of People's Artist Lan Huong.

At that time, physical theater was very new and still had many difficulties. Quan Anh himself pondered many times about his career, but in the end, he knew physical theater was not for him and that if he stayed, he would not be successful. Okay. He decided to leave.

"At that time, I was very confused, studying to be an actor, being a king and queen, suddenly working as a worker. But you know how artists are, dreaming about their career but in the end they had to decide to quit their job to wearing a protective helmet, delivering steel for a construction project in Bac Ninh."

He must always fight in the mindset that he is a worker, not an artist to do his job well. Every day, he picks up steel at a factory and then delivers it to the construction site. Although the work is not heavy, he spends a lot of time on the road. Sometimes I miss my job terribly but I have to suppress it.

However, as if by fate, even though he was working at a job unrelated to art, someone still came to Quan Anh to invite him to act in a movie. Like 'a fish taking to water', Quan Anh nodded and returned to his art. He considers his time as a worker as a memorable experience in his life.

"When I decided to return to art, I knew that I could not escape my fate and would stick with it for the rest of my life. I was lucky to be able to return to the Youth Theater and join the troupe. 2 for 10 years now," artist Quan Anh shared.

Artist Quan Anh said, now his salary as an actor is quite enough to be able to 'live well', but thinking back to his student days, the first time he received remuneration from acting, Quan Anh cannot forget. As soon as I entered the school, I was staying in the dormitory when I was invited by a unit to go filming. He and his roommate were so happy that they rented a motorbike taxi from the School of Theater and Cinema to Phuc Xa (Hanoi) to act.

"We received 50,000 VND for carrying a deadly heavy air conditioner and being beaten by people. The two of us got 100,000 VND in total, minus the motorbike taxi fare of 30,000 VND, the remaining 70,000 VND. in the bag. It was so fun, the two of them decided to walk ten kilometers back to school, stopping by this store and looking at this and that store. Then, when tired, they rested at the park. When they got home, they didn't spend a single penny. Forever. At night, we went out to eat because we were so happy that we forgot to be hungry. A meal of 3,000 VND at that time was delicious, a luxurious meal would cost 10,000 VND, but we only ate normally. 70,000 VND at that time could be spent on a lot of things. ", artist Quan Anh recalled.

Quan Anh said, his brother-in-law now got married because of the movie "The Betel Tree". In this film, he and Dieu Linh - an actress from Hanoi Drama Theater play a couple in love but the war caused the couple to separate.
