The series "Walking in the Bright Sky" continues to dominate the viewership ratings on VTV's primetime channel. In recent episodes, the character Bao Anh unexpectedly appears.
She is close to Thai's family and seems to have possessive feelings for him. The actress who plays Bao Anh has therefore quickly attracted much attention from the online community.
It is known that the girl named Phuong My was born in 1991, and studied at the Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema. Phuong My played supporting roles in VFC's TV series such as Journey of Justice, Black Pharmacist and recently Near and Far Roads.
Sharing about her fate with acting, the supporting actress of Di Giua Troi Ruc Rot said that she initially studied fine arts at the University of Theater and Cinema and once happened to watch the actors hand in their final exams. "In a dark space, a spotlight suddenly turned on and everyone performed on stage. That was the moment that made me interested in acting and theater.
When I graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts that same year, I only intended to take the acting test to see how good my abilities were, but I didn't expect to pass. And I thought, why not give myself a chance to break out of my comfort zone, do a job that shows more of my personality, and experience different lives. Wouldn't that be interesting? So I continued studying acting," the actress shared.
This is Phuong My's first step into acting. Phuong My is currently unmarried. Her childhood hobby is fashion, so in addition to acting, Phuong My is currently developing a small fashion brand with her friends.
In real life, actress Phuong My dresses very uniquely and seductively, not too different from the elegance of the character Bao Anh in Di giua troi ruc ro. Possessing a beautiful appearance and an elegant and sexy demeanor, Phuong My became a formidable rival of Thu Ha Ceri in the movie Di giua troi ruc ro.
Although Phuong My's role in Di giu troi ruc ro is not clear, it can be seen that the actress's acting is being appreciated by the audience much more than the young actors like Thu Ha Ceri or Vuong Anh Ole. After the role of agricultural engineer Nga in Nhung ngon duong hon xa, in Di giu troi ruc ro, Phuong My has a more mature and attractive appearance.
Before Going in the Bright Sky, Phuong My made an impression with the role of Huyen - a masseuse in Hang trinh cong ly. In the film, Huyen was involved in Hoang's (Viet Anh) case and had an affair with Cuong (Doan Quoc Dam). In the battle to help Cuong's ex-wife win custody of their child, Hong Diem (Phuong) met Huyen to convince her. Finally, Huyen agreed to appear in court. She admitted to having a relationship with Cuong when she knew he already had a wife and children. At the same time, Huyen provided evidence against her lover. Thanks to Huyen, Phuong was able to "turn the situation around".
Huyen in "Journey of Justice" is Phuong My's first role on television. Because it was her first role, Phuong My received a lot of guidance from her senior Doan Quoc Dam. "At first, I was a bit shy and shared my opinions on acting so that we could understand each other better. And Dam gave me a different perspective on acting, on how to perceive society, on how to build a character to be as realistic as possible. It's true that participating in the movie 'Journey of Justice' helped me mature more," she shared.
Phuong My said she had to observe the girls working as masseuses to see how they walked, gestured, acted, and spoke, then refine them for the character. When she accepted the role, she knew her character would be hated, but she didn't expect that she would be hated the most. After each episode, she reads the audience's feedback to learn from her experience.
Besides, Phuong My is also a familiar face on the drama stage. She won the Silver Medal at the Capital Theater Festival in 2016 and 2019, and the Silver Medal at the International Experimental Theater Festival in Hanoi in 2019.
As a student of director Tran Luc, right after graduating as Valedictorian at the University of Theatre and Cinema, Phuong My joined Luc team. For her, the stage is always a place that brings special emotions: "We actors always consider the stage a sanctuary, a sacred and attractive place. Stepping up from the audience seats is an extremely wonderful and strange feeling. The emotions when performing and connecting with the audience right below make us excited, it is completely different from standing in front of the camera and having to be separated by a screen from the audience. Of course, each art form has its own appeal."
Phuong My also said that she is not in a hurry with her career: "I always keep in mind that in order to do well in other artistic fields, I must be solid on stage first. I spent 5 years at Luc team to be completely confident in my acting ability, then I started to enter television dramas. Currently, I have also started a number of projects and received many invitations. The uncles and aunts in the profession also appreciate the fact that I am serious about my work. I don't want to be just a "performer" but hope that I can transform through each role."
