Actress Oc Thanh Van has just returned to Vietnam with her friends after a time in Australia. She said she feels very happy and joyful, because everything is easier in her home country than in a foreign country. She has more time for herself and no longer has to work hard.
Oc Thanh Van said: "In Australia, I did everything by myself, I really didn't have time to sit down on a chair to rest, working from morning to night. Back home, I feel very comfortable, although I like housework, I don't need to cook, do laundry, or wash dishes because someone else does it for me. In Vietnam, I'm still busy with many things but I can take the time to rest so I have the energy to go to work. With many sources of support, I can do all kinds of things back home."
Arriving in Vietnam from Australia on a mid-December evening, Oc Thanh Van was exhausted from taking her children on a long journey, carrying a "mountain" of luggage including 9 large and small suitcases and many handbags. However, after only resting for one night and waking up in the morning with a cup of milk coffee, she was alert and energetic enough to go to an event at a shopping mall in Ho Chi Minh City.
Early the next morning, she left home at 3:30 and headed to Long Xuyen for work. In the afternoon, she returned to her shop in Ho Chi Minh City, continuing to livestream to introduce cosmetics and advise customers on skin care and beauty. In the following days, she maintained her livestream schedule to sell products, while also being present at Hong Van Drama Theater to take posters, practice, and perform. During this time, she reunited with the audience through the play The Ghost Wife, which is associated with her name. In addition, she and her colleagues are preparing for two other plays that will be lit up during Tet. After Tet, she will participate in a film project.
Due to jet lag due to having just returned to the country, plus days of rehearsing plays until 2am, Oc Thanh Van is sometimes tired and has difficulty waking up early in the morning. However, she takes care of her skin and maintains the habit of practicing yoga to have a youthful spirit every time she meets the audience from the stage to the livestream sessions.
She expressed: "I will perform three plays during Tet, performing on all days. I participate in a few more programs, not as many as before because I am getting older now, I cannot work as hard as before. The audience often asks me about my roles and I also want to show gratitude to my profession. Without art, there would be no me today."
Not only does Thanh Van have family members to help with housework, she is also happy to be loved by her colleagues and welcomed by the audience. One day, she came to the stage with several cups of coffee and many dishes prepared by everyone. She was happy to eat crab salad, rice noodles, and drink coffee in the true Vietnamese style.
After a year of living away from home, Oc Thanh Van brought her children back to Vietnam for the summer vacation. She said that the three kids Coca, Cola and Cacao are much taller and help their mother with many chores. She promised to buy gifts for her children during their stay in Vietnam.
For the past year, Oc Thanh Van has been taking care of her children in Australia alone, with her husband occasionally visiting them. Her daily schedule is busy with preparing breakfast, taking the children to school, cleaning the house, packing and delivering cosmetics to customers, teaching yoga, and remotely managing her business in Vietnam. She returns home a few times during her children's mid-year vacation and when she has important work.
A few days ago, Oc Thanh Van shared the reason for rushing to bring her children back to her hometown was because they showed signs of language confusion when they had to use both Vietnamese and English in Australia. Specifically, the actress's chil.d mistook a power bank for a "heat-retaining charger" and an apricot for a "cloud fruit", leaving her helpless. She shared: "I've been forced to speak Vietnamese at home all the time, but it's still lagging. We were talking normally, then suddenly we argued and switched to English. I couldn't keep up. I said, 'Speak Vietnamese,' and he replied in Vietnamese: It's hard to argue in Vietnamese, there are many 'swearing' words when angry, speaking Vietnamese sounds very harsh. Then he argued in English again."
It is known that students in Australia are currently entering the winter break, which lasts until mid-January, so perhaps Oc Thanh Van has brought the children back to Vietnam to rest with their families. Currently, Tri Rua is still living in Vietnam to run and manage the business.
