Oc Thanh Van reunites with Tri Rua, welcomes Vietnamese New Year after tasting "misery" in Australia

Recently, Oc Thanh Van posted a moment to welcome the 2025 New Year next to her husband Tri Rua and 3 children, Coca, Cola and Cacao. In the photo, the female artist's extended family is excited to watch the fireworks together.

Sharing a cozy moment with her loved ones, Oc Thanh Van opened up about the recent turbulent time. The actress said that in 2 years, she celebrated the new year in 2 countries.

Oc Thanh Van shared: "Last year we celebrated the New Year in Melbourne, this year in Saigon. Why does Cola say that 2024 will pass so quickly, mom! Yes, hurry up, it's only a long time when we don't have each other. A year of too many challenges, many upheavals, and too much love. Above all, there is still each other on the road of life, every day I just wish to be healthy and happy - send all the good thoughts to my friends."

Talking about life when returning to her homeland, Oc Thanh Van said: "In Australia, I do everything by myself, I really don't have time to sit down in a chair to recline and work hard from morning to night. When I return home, I am very comfortable, although I like housework, I may not need to cook rice, do laundry, wash dishes because someone will help me. In Vietnam, I am still busy with many things, but I can take advantage of the rest to have the strength to go to work. There are many sources of support, I can do all kinds of things in my hometown."

The life of Oc Thanh Van's family is constantly changing in 2024. In early 2024, she decided to bring her 3 children, Coca, Cola and Cacao - to study abroad in Australia, while her husband Tri Rua stayed in Vietnam to work. To prepare for a long-term life in Australia, the actress bought a 2-storey house in the city of Melbourne.

In the West, Oc Thanh Van's daily schedule is busy with preparing breakfast, taking her children to school, cleaning the house, packing and delivering cosmetics to guests, teaching yoga, and running a business in Vietnam remotely.

During this time, the actress's family suffered from the situation of husband and wife living in 2 countries. Occasionally, Oc Thanh Van will fly back to the country or Tri Rua will fly to Australia to reunite with her family. The female artist said: "When I decided to go back, very quickly, I cleaned the house into an empty house. Because in Australia, vacant houses will be easy to buy and sell or rent. I liquidated all the furniture, large and small, kitchen equipment, bicycles, exercise equipment, pots and pans in the house.

I had lower back pain because I was carrying heavy things and weighing my luggage. The eldest son helped me a lot, his friends also helped, and the two younger ones helped as much as they could. On the last day, the mothers and daughters spread the carpet on the floor to sleep because there were no more mattresses. Despite the hardship, we still feel "radiant" because we are about to go home."

Regarding the education of her 3 children, Oc Thanh Van said that she would not face many difficulties. In Australia, Coca, Cola and Cacao have just finished 1 school year, so when they return to Vietnam, the 3 children will start a new semester at the international school they used to study. She said that in the future, when the children are more mature and independent, the three may return to Australia.

Oc Thanh Van confided: "The past year has been as hard as several years combined. I was immersed in a never-ending series of hustles. The most important is the saying: 'I feel lacking, very lacking' of my children, when there are only four mothers and daughters in the family meal.

Every time the three children or relatives visit, the atmosphere is very cozy. But when everyone returned to Vietnam, we felt empty, a feeling of uncertainty in our hearts. My family is used to bonding and reuniting. One day, at mealtime, the mothers and daughters no longer feel good that I understand what we need. The whole family no longer wants to be apart."
