Oc's family currently no longer has the opportunity to take care of her father because he passed away in 2017 and Tri's father passed away a year later. So there are only two mothers left. So we all want the best for them.

My husband and I, as well as our children, agree that our grandmothers are old now and sometimes have those unreasonable requests, but we should indulge them wholeheartedly. We should consider all of her whims as normal and obvious. The children of Oc's family are used to it and indulge her a lot.

I think that is also a way for us to repay those who raised us all our lives. It must be shown every day, not waiting until Tet to have gifts or something to send. Sometimes it becomes polite and when it is time to send gifts, we want to send more, parents often feel sorry for their children so they find reasons to refuse. As for my family, the mothers really accept everything! If they criticiz.e, they really criticiz.e, not the type of like inside but not outside. My family is not that case."

Mothers often tend to save mone.y. On this occasion, Oc Thanh Van said that her mother was once cheated when playing a "hui".

In 2022, Oc Thanh Van posted a story about her biological mother losing more than 100 million VND because she was gullible. When a strange phone number called her mother's phone number, impersonating the authorities, saying that she was involved in a case, threatening that her children would be in danger and asking her to transfer them 200 million VND.

Out of fear, Oc Thanh Van's biological mother went to the bank to transfer 2 transactions of 30 and 60 million VND respectively without informing her children. It was only when Tri Rua asked her why she borrowed another 110 million VND that she realized. At that time, Oc Thanh Van posted the incident to warn everyone.

In 2024, Thanh Van's life changed a lot when she took her three children, Coca, Cola and Cacao, to study abroad in Australia. After that, she brought her children back to her homeland and gave up studying abroad. During her one year living in the West, the actress experienced many challenges and hardships, both joy and tears, before deciding to return to where she started.

She shared about having to relearn Vietnamese: "In fact, Vietnamese is the mother tongue, that can never be changed no matter what language you learn. My children also have a talent for languages. With Vietnamese, they understand the literal and figurative meanings, and understand folk songs and proverbs. But when they were in Australia, because they used English so much, sometimes it became a habit or in some contexts, they would use English because they felt it was easier.

After coming back here, everything went back to normal. However, among the three children, my little one, Cacao, is a bit poor at reading and writing Vietnamese. The reason is that when Cacao started school, it was during the epidemic year. At home, she can speak fluently, but when reading or writing long words, it's like "tortur.e" (laughs).

So since coming back here, the siblings (Coca, Cola - PV) have been comfortable, but Cacao has had to study Vietnamese diligently. Her father was afraid that when she entered 4th grade here, she would fall behind because she couldn't read Vietnamese books. Now it's better, every day from now on, she always takes the initiative to sit and study.
