People's Representative Thanh Tuan is one of the famous names of the art village of Cai Luong. In order to have such a brilliant aura today, People's People's Committee Thanh Tuan has experienced many ups and downs and challenges.

Artist Thanh Tuan, whose real name is Nguyen Thanh Liem, was born in 1950 in Duc Pho, Quang Ngai. The Central Region is famous for its hut song, tuong ... but the Qing Liem family kept on the radio and listened to Cai Liang all the time, and then the relative opposite had a phonograph that kept turning on a few times, there were artists Ut Bailan, Ut Tra Wen, Thanh Duo. Listening, the b.oy was passionate.

In 1954, Thanh Liem's father moved to the North. Mom stayed at home to support her young children. The central land is barren, poor is poor, and she leads children to Saigon to earn a livelihood.

Thanh Liem was only 10 years old and was alone in a house in a remote countryside. Her grandmother married far away, not once in a while.

Every day, Liem finds crabs to catch snails to eat. Get up early in the morning, cook rice from a can and walk 4-5 kilometers to school.

In the rainy and stormy season, I slept in the middle of the night feeling urinated, sticking my legs down startled because the water had filled the couch.

Many nights like that, remembering my mother missing me, a brutal Thanh Liem meal followed the adults in the neighborhood to walk several kilometers to the big road to pick up the car to Saigon.

Arriving at the bus station in Saigon, Thanh Liem handed the pedicab the crumpled paper and said firmly: "You drove me to this address and my mother paid!" My cheeks met in tears of joy.

She worked as a domestic helper, while Thanh Liem applied to work at the pharmacy. Having obtained some m.oney, he bought a booklet printed with reform articles.

People studied for a whole year, but Thanh Liem only studied for three months, and he was familiar with all 3 South and 6 North. After completing the basic studies, Thanh Liem through Mr. Seven Trach (a classmate of Minh Vuong) continued to study singing and acting. While studying, he sent him to practice singing, and then he introduced the Bai Lianhua troupe, a step Qing Liem jumped to the main double line as Ming in the play White Sea Tang Robber General.

Discover a new way of singing ancient echo

From the initial singing troupe, Thanh Liem has experienced many singing burdens, from small to large states such as Huong Hoa Orchid Capital, Minh Canh, Autumn Incense, Kim Chung... and have the opportunity to sing with famous diggers such as People's Artist Le Thuy, Artist My Chau, Phuong Lien, Artist Thanh Kim Hue...

Through three times changing his stage name from Thanh Liem to Hoai Truc Linh, he finally formed a young double with the stage name Thanh Tuan chosen by composer Thu An (leader of Huong Autumn troupe).

Thanh Tuan confided that he loved the ancient song very much. Ca up saw that the gut had been broken. The way of singing is also not constrained, giving artists creative freedom.

At the age of 80, not only singing for relatives, People's Artist Thanh Tuan also opened classes to train potential ancient echo singers, transmitting the profession in accordance with the ancient echo singing method that he has studied and summarized from decades of following the profession.

The fact that Thanh Tuan People's People opened a vocational transmission company is a new signal in the current classical music village, because a singer like him, has a lot of experience directly transmitting the profession to gifted people, so that they can confidently participate in competitions to find young talents for Cai Luong stage.

Although the journey of 60 years of operation has been full of ups and downs, it is thanks to the different melodies and roles in the plays that Thanh Tuan People's People have grown day by day and have a firm foothold in the hearts of the audience as today. An artist who works art with all his heart at any age always gives his all.
