Meritorious Artist Cam Tien, whose real name is Vo Thi Cam Tien, was born in 1970 in Saigon. After 1975, Cam Tien's parents returned to their hometown in Go Dau district, Tay Ninh province to live.

From a young age, Cam Tien was taught by his parents to sing Vong Co and small songs, so every time he went to play the Don Ca Tai Tu, he often let Cam Tien follow and sing for his uncle. In addition to Cam Tien, who follows the famous stage, her brother Vo Hiep is an organist Tran Huu Trang, younger brother Vo Thanh Nhan, classical guitarist of the Huong Buoi Cai Luong Band.

When she was in school, Cam Tien liked the ancient singing style of her idols Chau Thanh, Linh Hue, and Linh Vuong, so she trained herself to learn singing in that way. Cam Tien won many awards in art competitions at school. and locally.

In 1987, after finishing grade 12, Cam Tien passed the entrance exam to the University of Pedagogy. Cam Tien went to Saigon to stay at her aunt's house to go to school. At that time, her father took her to visit her friend, musician Minh Huu, Cam Tien's long singing style, clear voice, beautiful timbre, and passion made musician Minh Huu surprised and delighted.

Mr. Minh Huu is the adoptive brother of artist Chau Thanh, Chau Thanh was also present that day, so Chau Thanh and musician Minh Huu encouraged Cam Tien to pursue a singing career. With the approval of her father, Cam Tien gave up her dream of becoming a teaching teacher. She was introduced by Chau Thanh to join Trung Hieu's singing troupe.

Talent has helped Meritorious Artist Cam Tien quickly reach success. In 1995, she won first prize Tran Huu Trang Prospect and Gold Medal for professional stage. Five years later, Cam Tien continued to win the Tran Huu Trang Excellence Award. Not long after that, she was honored to receive the title of Meritorious Artist conferred by the State.

Famous, invited by many Cai Luong troupes to perform, but Cam Tien still favors and devotes her love to poor rural audiences. The female artist said that it was the sincere affection of the audience in remote provinces that helped her become more attached to the ups and downs of the cai luong stage.

In terms of private life, Cam Tien currently lives very happily with her husband Lam Duc. He is an overseas Vietnamese in Canada, investing in real estate, hotels, and a friend of artist Chau Thanh.

When Cam Tien went to sing at Giac Lam Pagoda (District 11), Chau Thanh played for two people who knew each other. "Gradually, I see that she has a manly character, that is the strength of a business person. Moreover, apart from beauty and voice, her sincerity makes me heartbroken. Back in Canada, I I told my mother a story, she said, someone like that won't get married?. I went back to Vietnam, and every night I see her father taking her to sing, I love her very much. But just to be sure, I brought her back to Canada. , opened Toronto's largest record store for her to set up a business... But after six months, she admitted that cai luong only existed in Vietnam, so she wanted to return to her homeland. So I followed her back to Vietnam until now", Mr. Lam Duc confided.

Artist Cam Tien is not only a famous talented Cai Luong artist, a successful businessman and a faithful mother and wife. Artist Cam Tien has two children. Because of the nature of the acting profession, she is often absent and wants to create the best learning environment for her two children, but in addition to singing, doing business, and doing charity work, Cam Tien spends time making friends with her children and she succeeds. When you have two children, you always know how to listen to your parents.

Every day, after work is completed, Cam Tien spends hours talking with her son in Canada. So even though he was born and raised in Canada, his eldest son speaks and writes Vietnamese very well. Every summer, Cam Tien often sends her son back to Vietnam to travel with his mother to perform everywhere.

As for the daughter, Cam Tien was taken care of by her grandmother. Cam Tien often spends her time picking up her children from school and spending time with her children on weekends to listen to their feelings. Cam Tien is glad that her good daughter is the best in her class since she was a child, but she also gently explains everything to her daughter.

Her daughter is gifted in studying, loves to sing, but her daughter does not have an outstanding voice, so Cam Tien only encourages her to sing the movement, but if she has a predestined desire to follow her mother's profession, she must have more time to study and improve. . Actually, Cam Tien doesn't want her daughter to follow in her career because of the hard work of singing, so she always creates the best conditions for her children to study so that they can have a stable job in the future. Although the two brothers are far apart, it is thanks to technology that the two children are still attached, love each other, and care for each other. This is a happy thing that Cam Tien feels lucky to have.

Meritorious artist Cam Tien and his wife often personally go to faraway places, temples are raising orphans, painful illnesses, and abandoned. Only when going to the place and witnessing the children's situation with their own eyes, Meritorious Artist Cam Tien not only provided material support but also took care of her during her visit that she felt secure.
