Singer Ping Chayada remains the focus of Asian media. She went for a neck massage, then passed away. Her sudden passing left the public in mourning. Recently, the Thai Ministry of Health announced the truth behind it.
On December 9, Health Minister Somsak Thepsuthin confirmed that Ping Chayada's cause of death was due to complications of meningitis, unrelated to the massage parlor.
The announcement by the Minister of Health somewhat calmed public anger. However, some people still believe that this is only a conclusion based on Ping Chayada's medical records. The public believes that Ping Chayada's death is still mysterious and doubts whether or not the therapist caused the singer's serious injuries.
On December 10, CH3plus reported that they had found and interviewed the massage therapist suspected of dislocating Ping Chayada's cervical vertebrae, leading to a series of health complications that led to his death.
An employee named P'Aoi said she had worked at the massage parlor for 2 years and had a practice certificate. P'Aoi confirmed that she did not remember whether she was the one who massaged Ping Chayada or not, because the incident happened nearly 2 months ago and the number of customers she treated every day was also very large. "When I heard that Ping Chayada passed away after coming to the massage parlor where I used to work, I was very shocked. To be honest, I do not remember whether I massaged her or not because it was a long time ago and she was not a regular customer of the parlor," P'Aoi said.
P'Aoi denied the suspicion that she had fled after causing Ping Chayada to suffer serious injuries. She said that she quit her job and moved from Udon Thani to Bangkok (Thailand) to take care of her niece and mother who had cancer. P'Aoi affirmed that she had nothing to do with Ping Chayada's death. The technician said that she was becoming a "prisoner of society", unreasonably suspected and condemned by public opinion.
Authorities had previously inspected the massage parlor where Ping Chayada was staying, but had not yet found the person who first massaged her. A representative of the massage parlor said that the technicians worked on a freelance basis, so their hours at the facility were not fixed.
Previously, Ping Chayada's mother - Ms. Chanthakan Prawhom said that her daughter's X-ray results showed that 3 cervical vertebrae were dislocated. According to Ms. Chanthakan Prawhom, right after the first neck and shoulder pain treatment session, Ping Chayada experienced some unusual symptoms such as paralysis, tremors, and difficulty moving. However, the singer still returned to this center to perform 2 more neck and shoulder massage sessions. However, Ping Chayada's health condition not only did not improve but also worsened. With her experience in the profession, Ms. Chanthakan Prawhom suspected that her daughter had a cervical vertebra dislocation.
"The doctors who examined Ping Chayada at Udon Thani Hospital did not believe that a regular neck and shoulder massage could cause a dislocated cervical vertebra. They even suspected that my daughter was using drugs when they saw her hands shaking. In the end, they only gave her painkillers and asked us to leave even though the family wanted an X-ray," said Chanthakan Prawhom.
After Ping Chayada's mother shared, in addition to the massage parlor, Thai public opinion is also extremely angry with the first doctor who examined the late artist. Thai public opinion is indignant that this doctor's subjectivity and negligence in not allowing the patient to undergo necessary medical examinations delayed Ping Chayada's treatment time, and led to a sad ending for a young girl.
From a young and healthy 20-year-old girl, Ping Chayada was bedridden due to severe encephalitis and pneumonia. She was hooked up to numerous medical machines to maintain her life. However, after more than a month in the hospital, the young singer breathed her last on December 8.
