The functional forces of Tan Ky commune, Nghe An province are urgently coordinating with the people to organize the search for Mr. Le Van Duong (56 years old), who was reported by his family to have lost contact after leaving home in the early morning of April 3.
According to information from the Tan Ky Commune Police, the report sent by Ms. Bui Thi Thanh, Mr. Duong's wife, said that her husband left the house at around 6 a.m. on April 3. When leaving, he wore blue work clothes and drove a motorbike with a license plate 37Z3-0201. Mr. Duong works as a tomb sculptor and often moves to nearby areas to work. That morning, he was said to have gone from his house in Phuong Ky village to Cua hamlet, Tan Phu commune, but did not return afterwards. The family also affirmed that before leaving home, he did not show any abnormal expressions or conflicts with relatives.
After losing contact, the family actively searched in many familiar places and contacted acquaintances but to no avail. Faced with that situation, the relatives decided to report to the authorities for support. During the verification process, the functional forces discovered that Mr. Duong's motorbike was erected on the side of a deserted road leading to the Le Roi area, about 10 km from his house. The discovery raised fears that he may have walked into the nearby mountainous area.
By the evening of April 4, the local government mobilized a large force to organize the search. Hundreds of people and functional forces participated in reviewing the rugged mountainous forest area behind Tan Ky Pagoda. Even drones are deployed to scan from above, in order to increase the ability to detect traces. However, after many hours of searching, the whereabouts of the lost man have not been found.
The process of extracting security cameras from roadside households showed that on the morning of April 3, Mr. Duong drove a motorbike from his house to Cua hamlet in Tan Phu commune, then returned to the Roi junction area. From this point on, his traces were no longer clear. In the afternoon of the same day, the motorbike was discovered near the Tan Ky pagoda area. A group of builders working here said they saw a person with characteristics similar to Mr. Duong walking in the direction of the mountains behind the pagoda. This information became an important clue for the search force to focus on the deep forest area.
The local government mobilized more than 200 people to participate in the search, divided into many small groups to review each area. The search scope was extended to all 7 valleys of the Roi village behind Tan Ky Pagoda and surrounding areas. It is a complex terrain area, with many steep cliffs, caves, and dense forests. The search therefore faced many difficulties.
According to a representative of the Tan Ky Commune Police, the participating forces are equipped with sharp tools to distribute trees, paving the way to go deep into the mountainous forest area. Some teams conduct inspections of caves, rock crevices and areas with high slopes. However, the rugged terrain, many areas without telephone signal, making communication between the groups face many obstacles. This prolonged the search, while the passage of time made the family even more worried.
Currently, the functional forces continue to expand the scope of the search, and at the same time call on people to provide information if they detect relevant signs. Mr. Duong's family is also on duty at the scene, hoping for news soon. Many locals expressed hope that the mobilization of large forces and modern supporting equipment will help find Mr. Duong safely soon.
