Nawat defends Queen Tien, turns against Sen Vang and affirms 'the crown is hers'

The news that Miss Thuy Tien was arrested by the law has caused a stir around the world. The reason why the incident is so noisy is because Thuy Tien is MGI 2021, when she was prosecuted, many people are interested in whether the MGI organization will decide to strip the beauty queen of her crown.

Regarding the arrest of Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien by Vietnamese authorities for deceiving customers , Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil officially spoke out at the press conference announcing the representative of Thailand to participate in the Miss & Mister Supranational 2025 contest in Bangkok on May 21.

However, if there is a serious verdict in the future, we will reconsider. At the present time, she no longer has any activities or connections with the organization."

MGI's chairman also expressed his feelings about Thuy Tien's arrest: "I am very calm. This incident is completely a personal matter. If it had happened while she was still under MGI's management, the organization would have been implicated. But the reality is that her contract ended a long time ago, this year is the 5th year. Everyone has their own life and responsibilities. Public opinion and the Vietnamese people will be the fairest judges."

He said that the organization is ready to receive all opinions, including condemnation, but emphasized that MGI no longer manages or is involved in Thuy Tien's activities. The President of Miss Grand International also shared: "If anyone wants to criticize or make fun of the organization, that's up to them. We always listen, but we don't see any impact. Because we have to understand, when that person no longer has a contract with us, is no longer under our management, they live their own way.

If she was still under my management, this definitely wouldn't have happened. If you want to blame, blame the current management agency - the one who made the decision to accept the show, be her manager, and give advice on whether or not to do so. But right now, we have nothing to do with her."

Also in the interview, Nawat Itsaragrisil said he followed the case on the media and also received confirmation from Thuy Tien's management that she was arrested. He learned that Thuy Tien was initially accused of false advertising of a food product, then, when expanding the investigation, the authorities discovered that she received an unusually high salary, leading to suspicions that she was not just an advertising representative. "The investigation agency wants to verify whether she is really just a brand representative or if she also has a stake and benefits from the business. If there is an investment element, the case will be prolonged, but if not, it will be handled faster," he told Thai media.

Besides, he also revealed that he had worked with Sen Vang Company - the copyright holder of Miss Grand Vietnam about the incident to better understand Thuy Tien's situation. However, receiving information that Sen Vang had terminated the contract with Thuy Tien a long time ago made him feel embarrassed.

Regarding the relationship between the beauty queen and the president of Miss Grand International , many people cannot help but admire that when she was newly crowned, Thuy Tien was very close to Mr. Nawat.
