Miss Palestine competes in Miss Universe for the first time, shocking with "huge" profile

The Miss Universe 2025 pageant will take place in Thailand this November, promising to bring many surprises and explosive moments. One of the special highlights of this year's season is the participation of a Palestinian representative for the first time in history.

Nadeen Ayoub is no stranger to the international beauty community. In 2022, she made a strong impression when she won the title of 2nd runner-up at Miss Earth , becoming the first Palestinian beauty to achieve high results in a major beauty arena. However, instead of continuing to hold on to this title, Nadeen decided to give up the title to pursue opportunities at Miss Universe - where she believes she can convey the voice of her people to a bigger stage.

This bold decision makes Nadeen the second runner-up of Miss Earth 2022 to give up the title. Previously, first runner-up Sheridan Mortlock (Australia) also chose to give up to try Miss Universe Australia 2025 but was unsuccessful. This partly shows the strong attraction of Miss Universe, and also reflects the decline in prestige of Miss Earth in recent years due to many scandals and unprofessional organization.

For Nadeen, participating in Miss Universe is not only a journey to conquer the crown but also carries a noble mission. In the official announcement on August 15, she emotionally shared: "At a time when the whole world is looking to my homeland, I carry a great responsibility. It is not just a title, but a platform to speak up for the Palestinian people, especially women and children."

Nadeen claims she wants to portray a different image of Palestine – one that is not only associated with war and conflict, but also a land of creativity, cultural heritage and pride. Through her personal project, Saidat Falasteen (Palestinian Women), she attempts to tell the stories of the resilience, talent and dreams of the women of her homeland – aspects that are still little known to the world.

Not only possessing outstanding beauty, Nadeen Ayoub also impresses with her solid academic background. She graduated with a BA in English Literature and Psychology in Canada, and has taught and worked for NGOs in the occupied Palestinian territories. Currently, Nadeen is the head of a training organization on sustainability and artificial intelligence, affirming the image of an intelligent and pioneering beauty queen.

She also works as a humanitarian, a health and fitness coach, and runs a fundraising campaign to provide medical assistance to children in Palestinian hospitals. All of these efforts show that Nadeen represents not only beauty, but also human values and community strength.

Nadeen Ayoub’s representation as the first Palestinian representative at Miss Universe is historic, not only for her but also for millions of her people. Her presence on the international stage is proof that Palestine can be seen in many different ways – from culture, education, art to the spirit of fighting for peace.
