Aoom Thaweeporn's name change angered Mr. Nawat. He criticize.d the beauty, saying that her actions were rash and affected the image and promotion plan of the Miss Grand International ( MGI) organization.

Mr. Nawat's reaction caused controversy on beauty forums. Many people thought that the MGI president went too far because the name change was Aoom Thaweeporn's personal matter and had no impact on the contest.

After angering Mr. Nawat, Aoom Thaweeporn had to apologize on her personal page. She wrote: "My thoughtless actions have seriously affected the organization, partners, fans and related brands. This is an expensive lesson for me to be more careful in the future."

She also spoke up to reassure the audience not to be harsh with Mr. Nawat and admitted that the incident became serious due to her carelessness.

Aoom Thaweeporn's father also spoke up to encourage his daughter after the incident. He said: "There is nothing greater than an apology. Always consult with adults before making any decisions and move forward firmly."

Previously, when participating in the Miss Grand Thailand 2023 contest, Aoom Thaweeporn also made Mr. Nawat angry and was scolded live on livestream.

The reason is that during the Miss Grand Thailand 2023 competition, Aoom Thaweeporn continuously wore outfits from brands that sponsored the Miss Universe Thailand pageant. Mr. Nawat considered Miss Universe a rival and did not want Miss Grand contestants to be associated with this pageant.

In June 2023, he became angry when Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien removed the Miss Grand International 2021 title from her personal page with millions of followers. Shortly after, Mr. Nawat unfollowed Thuy Tien’s personal page. He also posted an article, saying that Thuy Tien lacked maturity.

In response to Mr. Nawat's reaction, Thuy Tien updated the title of Miss Grand International on her personal page and spoke up about the incident via livestream. Miss Grand International 2021 admitted that she was rash and hasty in removing the title from her personal page. The beauty apologized to her fans and sent a message to the Miss Grand International organization.

Specifically, the beauty livestreamed with "beauty queen boss" Kim Dung and apologized for causing unnecessary noise. According to the beauty queen, she simply wanted to update her social media profile but because she couldn't think of anything, she temporarily left it blank.
