Mr. Nawat , CEO of Miss Universe, expressed concern about the delay in the organization of Miss Universe Vietnam 2025 , while the deadline for countries to choose representatives to attend Miss Universe 2025 is before September 30.
The Miss Universe 2025 contest is approaching, scheduled to be held in Thailand in November, but Vietnam still does not have an official representative. This situation is causing many concerns and concerns in the beauty fan community, especially after Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, CEO of Miss Universe, expressed his confusion about the fact that Miss Universe Vietnam 2025 has not yet been launched.
On a recent livestream, Mr. Nawat, who with the Miss Grand International crew is responsible for organizing the stage and distributing tickets for Miss Universe 2025, shared his worries: "Why hasn't Miss Universe Vietnam happened yet? I felt very confused. The directors of other countries have already sent representatives. According to the plan, countries must choose representatives by September 30. With this situation, many countries will probably not choose in time." This sharing raises big questions about the future of Vietnam's representative in this international beauty arena.
According to the initial announcement, the organizers of Miss Universe Vietnam are scheduled to hold the contest in August this year. However, it has now entered September but there has not been any move yet. This unusual silence has caused a lively discussion in the online community. Many fans expressed their disappointment and made comments such as: "Miss Universe Vietnam changed hands, held for exactly one year and then silent, will it ever change hands again?", "Ky Duyen has been crowned for more than 1 year but has not yet made the final walk", or "With this situation, Miss Universe Vietnam 2025 is highly likely not to be held...".
While time is running out, the organizers of Miss Universe Vietnam have not yet given any official explanation. Only Mr. Valentin Tran, President of Miss Universe Vietnam, gave a response on his personal page. He wrote: "Hello everyone. I know they are all eagerly waiting to know who will be the next representative of Vietnam. Country Director Huong Ly and I just met in Hanoi to work together. We will share the official announcement soon. Thank you for your patience." This reassurance, although somewhat soothing, is not enough to reassure the public because of the urgency of time.
With the current situation, many beauty fans think that the organizers will have to use the "handpick" option instead of holding a large-scale contest to choose representatives. This is considered the most feasible solution for Vietnam to still be able to send contestants to Miss Universe 2025.
One of the most anticipated names is runner-up Huong Ly, who was once known for her intellectual beauty and professional demeanor. However, the information that she will get married at the end of this year has made fans regret and said that the possibility of Huong Ly continuing to participate in the competition is not high.
Besides Huong Ly, the fan community also mentioned a number of other potential faces. 1st runner-up Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 Quynh Anh, 2nd runner-up Vu Thuy Quynh are names mentioned thanks to their experience and confirmed beauty. In addition, beauties such as Paris Bao Nhi, Quach Tapiau Maily, or Ha Kino are also on the list expected by the audience.
The Miss Universe 2025 contest is expected to bring together more than 130 contestants, and more than 90 countries have now found representatives. This September, representative competitions are still taking place in many countries such as Martinique (September 20), El Salvador (September 26), and Colombia (September 28). This further shows the initiative of other countries while Vietnam is still in a state of waiting.
