Until February 2019, Minkook appeared on the show Hidden Face on VTV and opened up about his past obsessions. Accordingly, he said he was from Dong Nai, 20 years old and had been active in the entertainment industry for less than 1 year.

While a second-year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, he won the lead role in a movie. Unfortunately, the production was discontinued, but he met a sponsor and joined a music group.

"When my group debuted, the company aimed to create scandals to get the public's attention. Our products were all intentionally similar to someone else and the audience could easily tell that they were imitations," Minkook introduced his group.

Notably, the young male singer did not hesitate to "excavate" the fact that he was "harassed" by his "manager" and that he exchanged sex for fame. "One afternoon, they asked me to talk. They gave me two choices, one was 'I will take you to the top but you have to love me, you have to be mine'. Two, you will no longer be anything," he said.

When he refused the offer from the "manager", Minkook had to suffer very bad consequences. Initially, the male singer was made difficult at work: "When I refused, they showed me the consequences. At that time, I was preparing to participate in a game show, when the show was about to take place, they gave me the condition 'can you sleep here with me tonight?'. I refused them again and the next day, my recording was canceled".

It is worth mentioning that Minkook was not only oppressed by the "manager" and limited in communication with the outside world, but also "physically impacted", and was eventually fired and required to pay 20 million VND in compensation, even banned from artistic activities for 3 years even though the fault was not his.

When he suspected that the male singer had a girlfriend, the "manager" brazenly asked to check his phone. In response to his resistance, this person angrily smashed the phone and physically abused him.
