Although Minh Nhi is a great monument of Vietnamese art, he is a senior, a teacher of the current class of young artists. But few people know, he has a past of being ostracized and banned from airwaves.

Recently, in a talk show with MC Nguyen Khang, artist Minh Nhi opened up about the scandal in 2005. The theater manager said that at that time he was a lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema. HCM. He took a leave of absence to travel to the US for 1 month but was eager to play, staying up to 2-3 months. After that, he became entangled in a relationship, so he had to stay abroad to deal with the problems that arose. When I returned to Vietnam, it was about 1 year.

"I want to clarify to the audience, I never had the thought of leaving Vietnam to live elsewhere. I also never wanted to quit the profession," the comedian affirmed. Minh Nhi said at that time he was just thinking simply, leaving and going back, so he did not make an extension application to send back to Vietnam. But later, the press reported, the leaflets even claimed that "Minh Nhi fled to the US", causing him to fall into a serious crisis and be turned away by the audience.

Minh Nhi admitted at the time that he was wrong and should be held accountable for his actions. Accordingly, due to violations of regulations of civil servants, artists were disciplined, forced out of their jobs, banned from performing for 6 months. At that time, Minh Nhi was encouraged and comforted by People's Representative Hong Van, and at the same time tried to find ways for his best friend to return to the stage. When the male artist was licensed to perform again, Hong Van invited him to Phu Nhuan theater, both acting and teaching the first batch of students such as Lac Hoang Long, Xuan Nghi...

Minh Nhi added that he and People's Representative Hong Van have been close friends for decades. However, the two also had friction at work. Sometimes Mingyun and Hong Yun can't find common ground. Minh Nhi confided, he used to be sorry and happy and left the Phu Nhuan theater stage, setting up his own stage.

It wasn't until he took over to run the new stage by himself that the artist understood his best friend's suffering. The two reconciled and always supported each other in work and life. Although the current theater is still difficult and not guaranteed in terms of revenue, Minh Nhi and Hong Van are still determined to invest in the stage. " If we keep being scared, the stage will be lost, so we just do it and deal with it," Minh Nhi shared.

Currently, at the age of 59, artist Minh Nhi (real name Truong Hung Minh) is still working artistic activities and passing on the profession to future generations. In his personal life, he used to be married but broke up. The artist has an adopted son, young actor Vo Minh Khai. Earlier, sharing with us, comedian Minh Nhi shared: " Although it has been 18 years, it has been a huge milestone to turn my life around. To be honest, when I was young, I also had many shortcomings: aggressive, aggressive. After "dying and coming back to life", I forced myself to change, to live differently. It was a little annoying at first, but I got used to it, and I succeeded. If in the past people were afraid of me, now people respect me."

He said he doesn't put too much emphasis on showbiz glory: " It doesn't matter whether the artist is loved by everyone or not. Just being remembered, loved and appreciated by the audience is a joy. Many times when I go to the restaurant, when I get up to pay, someone else has already paid me. Or, there are people who do not study with me every day, but when they meet them, they still call me "Mr. Minh". It's heartwarming, it's so happy. Whoever says I'm out of time, I can't ban them."
