MGI 2024: French beauty throws away wig, Que Anh uses "tricks" but still comes away empty-handed

The semi-finals of Miss Grand International 2024 were officially held in Thailand with 69 contestants competing. The girls will go through two competitions including swimsuit and evening gown.

On the evening of October 22, the semi-final night of Miss Grand International 2024 officially took place, attracting the attention of many fans. Opening the competition night, 69 contestants from countries and territories entered the swimsuit performance combined with the typical name calling, which is the brand of the Miss Grand International contest.

A series of beauties wore the same tiny two-piece swimsuit, made from shiny fabric in a striking copper tone, completely showing off their attractive figures. Most of the Miss Grand International 2024 contestants conveyed the true spirit of the swimsuit competition. The highlight of this competition was the fast strides to the vibrant music, the graceful hip movements, the body-twisting and the maximum use of hand and body movements.

Most notable is Safiétou Kabengele - the representative from France. Her visual once left a strong impression on beauty fans with her unique bald head. However, when entering the swimsuit competition, she wore a wig that surprised everyone.

Stepping out onto the runway, she suddenly took off her wig and handed it to her opponent. The action immediately attracted attention. With her experience as a catwalk coach, she showed off her skills without missing a beat.

On stage, she walked confidently and had moments that captured the international camera. With the advantage of a height of 1m80, a shiny brown skin, especially long straight legs, she will certainly be a very strong opponent for Que Anh in particular and the contestants in general.

As for the Vietnamese representative, Que Anh appeared last, playing the role of closing the swimsuit performance. In Que Anh's performance, the beauty brought an element of surprise to the performance when she and the Venezuelan representative simultaneously posed with their legs bent and "slapped each other's butts" in the middle of the stage. The highlight of touching the opponent's butt made Que Anh's entire performance more attractive.

In addition, she chose a ponytail combined with bold makeup to make her beauty more sharp. Overall, the Vietnamese representative completed the swimsuit competition perfectly, true to the spirit of a "Miss Grand". After the energetic performance of the Vietnamese representative at the semi-finals of Miss Grand International 2024, many people "turned around" to support Que Anh because they saw her efforts in this journey. Despite her perfect performance, Miss Que Anh did not record any achievements in the semi-finals. Accordingly, after the swimsuit and evening gown performances, 69 contestants advanced to the award ceremony in 3 categories including: Fan Vote, Best Performance and Grand Pageant's Choice.

Specifically, the two categories Grand Fan Vote and Best Performance 2024 were awarded by the jury to Miss Grand Myanmar (Thae Su Nyein) and Miss Grand France (Safiétou Kabengele). At the end, the representative from India (Rachel Gupta) received the Grand Pageant's Choice award. Miss Que Anh regretfully left "empty-handed" in the semi-finals.

The final of Miss Grand International 2024 will take place on October 25, the reigning Miss Luciana Fuster from Peru will hand over the crown to her successor.

Vo Le Que Anh was born in 2001, from Quang Nam. The beauty is 1.72m tall, with measurements of 88-63-90 cm. The beauty was the runner-up of Hue University 2020 and entered the top 40 of Miss Vietnam that same year. In addition, she won the 1st runner-up position of Miss Tourism Da Nang 2022. In August 2024, Que Anh surpassed 35 contestants to win the highest title at the Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 contest.
