Not only that, Ms. Hema Latha, state coordinator of AIMSS in India, pointed out that the 72nd Miss World contest is being organized by a cosmetics company that has generated trillions of VND in profits. According to Ms. Hema Latha, such a contest does not bring welfare to women and directly questions the reason why a unit spent 54 million rupees (about 16 billion VND) to organize this event.

In October 2023, the organizers announced to reschedule to March 2, 2024. At that time, the Miss World homepage said that the contestants would travel to India on February 3, 2024 and have about a month to participate in the activities of the contest.
