He has had roles in many notable films, but he was not given many regular opportunities to play the main role. It was not until more than 10 years later that Cuong's name was noticed by television audiences. Through that, he was given the villain role "Vy" in the movie "Huong Duong Nguoc Nang". When coming to the character "Vy", he transformed into the character extremely excellently.

It can be said that at that time, the movie Huong Duong Nguoc Nang, although gathering many famous actors, but with just a supporting villain role, Manh Cuong attracted attention.
