At the press conference, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police said that the case is particularly serious. The suspect not only murdered but also dismembered the victim's body to destroy the body.

According to Major General Tung, the relationship between suspect Khanh and victim N. started in early 2023 and was very close to each other. The argument led to Khanh using a knife to stab the victim to death," Major General Tung said, adding that the suspect was "not stoned or addicted" as shared online.

The Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police also denied information that the suspect often fluttered in the apartment area. The police investigated this detail very carefully.

After taking N.'s life, Khanh cleaned up the scene and called a taxi. The subject asked the taxi driver to come to the house to help him carry the foam box containing the victim.

After that, Khanh asked the taxi driver to take him around many places and the final destination was at village 2 Giang Cao, Bat Trang commune (Gia Lam, Hanoi).

Khanh threw some body parts into the Red River and buried part of the body at the edge of the Red River. After that, Khanh returned home. Later, the suspect returned to the place where Ms. N.'s body was found and bought cement to bury.

After committing the crime, Khanh took a bus back to his home in Hong Thai commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province to hide.
