In the past few days, perhaps the whole country's heart is on the journey to rescue a 10-year-old boy who fell into a concrete pillar 35m deep. Despite knowing that life is fragile, everyone seems to be praying and agreeing to find a way to bring the baby home as soon as possible.
In fact, in the world, there have been many successful rescues of babies who accidentally fell into similar difficult circumstances.
Thailand's 'kid' football team survived 17 days stuck in a flooded cave with no food
One of the world-shaking rescues that was later made into a movie was the rescue of a 17-day soccer team trapped in a water cave.
Accordingly, on June 23, 2018, 12 members of Thailand's "baby" football team Wild Boars entered Tham Luang cave with their 25-year-old coach, Ekaphol Chantawong. But the nightmare begins when they are trapped in the cave due to heavy rain, the flood water suddenly rises in the cave.
Then, one of the most complex and risky rescues in the world took place in Tham Luang cave to get the victims out.
The members of the football team survived nine long days trapped in the Tham Luang cave before they were found with little to no food or water supplies.
According to the Mirror, the victims survived on a little carry-on snacks, water from stalactites and meditation.
On July 2, divers finally found the team alive after being trapped in the cave for nine days. Divers had to dive for nearly four hours through the narrow and twisting tunnels of Tham Luang cave in search of victims.
However, it took another 8 days for the team trapped about 4km from the cave entrance to be rescued.
Authorities had to drain a large amount of flood water out of the cave so rescuers could get closer to the victims, and by July 5, they were able to reach the third compartment, about a distance from the victims. 1.5km without diving equipment.
Meanwhile, the victims were given swimming and diving lessons in preparation for their rescue, and oxygen was pumped into the cave to aid in their recovery.
But oxygen levels began to deplete, dropping from the normal 21% to 15%, and rescuers were running out of time.
On July 8, rescuers were determined to get the victims out. Each boy was escorted out by two divers through dark, narrow, flooded tunnels.
A key part of the success of the rescue mission was the risky decision to anesthetize the boys and their coach and this was arguably one of the most difficult parts of the rescue operation.
British cave diver Rick Stanton, who co-designed the rescue mission, explained to the New York Post that this was the best solution to get the team out of the cave safely.
The roller went on to reveal that, at first, others disagreed with the idea, but he stood his ground and was determined to defend his plan.
By July 10, all 12 boys and the coach of the Wild Boars football team were successfully rescued from the cave and transferred to the hospital for treatment.
However, in the process of rescuing the victims, 2 divers died.
India rescued a 10-year-old boy stuck in a 26m-deep well for 4 days and had to live with frogs and snakes
A boy named Rahul Sahu - who has hearing problems and cannot speak - fell into a well on June 10, 2022 while playing in the backyard of his home in Chhattisgarh state, central India. According to National News, Rahul slipped and fell into a well dug by his father but was not covered.
Rahul's family discovered the incident when they heard crying. They notified local authorities and rescuers began digging shafts near the well to reach the boy.
According to the Hindustan Times, about 500 personnel - including officials from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), army and local police - were involved in the large-scale rescue operation that has been underway since last night. day.
According to the New York Post, the rescue operation was hampered by bad weather, rocky terrain and the presence of poisonous animals such as snakes and scorpions. In addition, the boy's inability to speak or hear also made the rescue process difficult, according to local official Jeetendra Shukla.
Rescue workers dug a hole 21 meters deep parallel to the well. Then, they set up another 4m long tunnel, connecting the hole with the well to bring the boy out.
The boy was given oxygen and a banana for the duration of his stay. The rescue team also installed cameras to follow Rahul's actions.
"When the team approached Rahul, we had problems cutting the rock. If we used tools, he could get injured. So we did it manually," said Vijay Agrawal, police officer. Head of Janjgir district, Chhattisgarh state - said.
Locals also contributed to the rescue effort as they kept pumping water out as groundwater could be dangerous at the depths where Rahul was trapped. In addition, they are also backing up the supply of antivenom due to fear of the well being poisoned by snakes and scorpions.
At the end of June 14, 2022, the rescue team successfully brought Rahul out. Pictures shared on Twitter capture the moment the boy is carried on a stretcher and taken straight to an ambulance.
When taken out, Rahul was very weak. Officials said the boy was immediately taken to a specialist hospital in the nearby Bilaspur district by setting up a "green corridor", when all traffic lights along the ambulance route were turned green.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said Rahul had only "one snake and one frog for company" during the time he was trapped. Meanwhile, Mr Agarwal said it was a difficult rescue operation.
