Not long after returning to SM, Lee Jeno joined Kang Seulgi (Red Velvet) and Taeyong ( NCT) as the first three trainees to be introduced in the SM Rookies project.
The project was established at the end of 2013 with the purpose of training and introducing potential faces who are interning at the company. Lee Jeno's appearance in SM Rookies shows that SM takes him very seriously.
Having had the opportunity to contact the lens since childhood, Jeno quickly got used to it and interacted well with the camera. This is evident through programs such as EXO 90:2014, Mickey Mouse Club that he participated in with other trainees.
Actively promoted by SM in the SM Rookies project, even though he has not officially debuted, Lee Jeno still gains a certain number of fans. This is an important premise to help the guy build a solid foothold in the entertainment world.
As for Jeno, he spent three years practicing non-stop on his dance and vocal skills. In addition, the young man also had to go through many periodic reviews before being debuted in an idol group.

After a series of imprints with the boy group NCT, Lee Jeno's fame is growing farther and farther, not only in Korea but also in the world. Since then, his talent in making art has also gradually been recognized.
In addition to the music field, Jeno always tries to refresh himself in different roles such as model, actor or host. His "versatility" has helped him gradually gain a foothold in the art world.
However, Lee Jeno also faced many difficulties every time he faced criticism from the public. In a video posted at the end of 2022 by NCT DREAM, the public expressed frustration about Jeno's conversation with Haechan when the male singer surnamed Lee commented on the body of the group member. Jeno has been criticized when talking about Haechan's weight because this is a sensitive issue. Besides, the groupmate is often a "victim" by a part of netizens who specialize in disparaging appearance.
However, fans also defended Jeno when they said that the two had a close friendship before, so this is just a somewhat carefree word of the male singer born in 2000.
