Hong Phuong: Osen's sister-in-law, the only HTV MC working with a helicopter at the Parade

The parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) in Ho Chi Minh City is attracting special attention from people across the country.

On the morning of April 16, at Air Force Regiment 935, the Parade and Marching Subcommittee for the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) held the second general training session for the armed forces participating in the parade and march.

In this event, MC Hong Phuong - wife of Meritorious Artist Quoc Co received the most attention as she was the only female MC of Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) to be honored to work on a helicopter of the Vietnam Air Force. She not only impressed with her beautiful appearance but also scored points for her bravery and professionalism at work.

Sharing about this special experience, Hong Phuong could not hide her pride: "This is the first time I have experienced flying on a helicopter, and it is also the last training session of the air force before the soldiers return to Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the official parade on April 30. When I arrived at the airport, I felt the solemnity and sense of responsibility of the soldiers. Witnessing them performing their duties, I admire even more the dedication and strong will of the Vietnamese air force."

On his personal page, Meritorious Artist Quoc Co expressed his pride when seeing his wife Hong Phuong taking on the role of MC on a helicopter. He shared: "Seeing Hong Phuong confidently hosting on a helicopter, I was both nervous and proud. My wife is a very brave person. Looking at my wife working attentively alongside the soldiers of the Vietnam Air Force, I felt both Phuong's passion and patriotism. I believe this will be an unforgettable memory in her career."

Hong Phuong, born in 1984, is one of the outstanding MCs of Ho Chi Minh City Television. She won the Golden Swallow award at the 2006 TV Host contest. With her confident demeanor and extensive knowledge, Hong Phuong won the highest prize, affirming her talent.

Hong Phuong and Meritorious Artist Quoc Co did not "fall in love at first sight". They first met in 2012 at an entertainment event but did not leave any special impression. It was not until 2015, during a business trip to Canada in the fall, that the two really noticed each other.

After returning to Vietnam, the two kept in touch and often went out to eat. Being a gallant person, Quoc Co often invited Hong Phuong to eat. Unexpectedly, whatever dish he offered, she would eat it all. From then on, he fell in love with this girl.

As for MC Hong Phuong, she shared that she married Quoc Co quite late, at that time many friends thought she was "always single". Even before meeting him, she had no intention of getting married, she just wanted to be a single mother. But it was Quoc Co who made her completely change that thought.

Hong Phuong confided that her first impression of Quoc Co was not his handsome appearance but his charisma. "When he was 33 years old, he looked like he was 40, very mature and experienced. During that cultural exchange trip, he was not only an older brother but also a teacher, a father who always took care of his younger brother's every meal and sleep. Seeing that, I felt that he was a family man. At that time, there were many women around him," the female MC said.

Just like that, from the initial admiration, the couple gradually fell in love with each other and decided to date. Hong Phuong said she herself felt quite strange because the two came together despite having many "opposite" points.

Previously, artist Quoc Co's ideal girlfriend was a slim, spoiled girl, while Hong Phuong was plump, independent, and confident. On the contrary, Quoc Co's circus work, bold dressing style, and riding a large motorbike also made MC Hong Phuong's family "concerned".

"My parents thought their daughter would marry a gentle, elegant man like a teacher. When they saw him, my parents didn't like him right from the start. After investigating his background, my parents were even more shocked to learn that he was a circus performer because this job is too dangerous," Hong Phuong shared.

Not stopping there, the personalities of the two are also completely opposite. As a circus artist, Quoc Co is considered by friends and colleagues to be quiet, while Hong Phuong is an active, talkative, and communicative MC. In addition, Hong Phuong has a full education, while Quoc Co only graduated from high school. These are the things that made the male circus artist worried that his wife would not accept him.

However, in the end, thanks to their sincere love, the two overcame all challenges to come together. After 6 months of dating, they got married in 2016. The couple's wedding took place in a luxurious yet cozy atmosphere at a luxury hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

After getting married, Hong Phuong focused on her family and taking care of her children, being a solid supporter to help Quoc Co develop his career. Currently, after nearly 10 years together, both have their own achievements in their careers and a happy family together.

However, Quoc Co and his wife's marriage also went through a difficult time. Hong Phuong shared that in the first year after getting married, she and her husband constantly argued because each wanted to maintain their ego.

When she gave birth to her first child, the female MC was depressed because her husband was away on a tour and could not be by her side. Having to take care of a small child alone made her feel pressured and more irritable than before. Hong Phuong even prepared divorce papers waiting for her signature, but at that time Quoc Co was persistent in protecting the family's happiness and tried to build more for the home. This was what helped the storm pass, and the two understood each other better.

Later, Hong Phuong actively built her husband's reputation. The female MC shared: "I don't feel sorry for myself when I see my husband become famous, while I step back. Because I step back, I realize the value of the people behind the screen such as cameramen, sound, lighting, directors... All work together to make the program shine. That is much more meaningful than when I shine alone."
