Hong Phuong - the niece of artist Vu Linh, has lost her Facebook page with nearly 500,000 followers. This personal page is where Hong Phuong interacts with fans and shares her music products with the public.
This is also where she sells online, generating income for her family. Hong Phuong said losing Facebook was a big loss for her. The singer has now created a new personal page and updates her daily activities.
Recently, Hong Phuong has been quite private. She only shares about her music products and daily life. It is known that Hong Phuong has 2 YouTube channels with a stable number of viewers. 1 channel with nearly 60 thousand followers where she shares her music products. The other channel with more than 80 thousand followers is for personal activities, where she sells products.
Hong Phuong still maintains her appeal, her music products have a large fan base supporting them. The female singer is praised for still maintaining her beautiful voice, inherited from her uncle, artist Vu Linh. Hong Phuong revealed that her large source of income comes partly from YouTube channels and online business.
Recently, Hong Phuong has rarely accepted shows, she only performs for close colleagues to avoid unnecessary noise.
In the near future, on June 24, the High-level People's Court in Ho Chi Minh City will open an appeal hearing on the inheritance dispute between the plaintiff, Ms. Vo Thi Hong Nhung (sister of the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh, Hong Phuong's biological mother) and the defendant, Ms. Vo Thi Hong Loan (Vu Linh's daughter). Regarding this information, Hong Phuong currently said that she is waiting for the court's decision and will not interfere in the matter of her biological mother and Hong Loan.
Accordingly, Ms. Nhung appealed, requesting the appellate court to cancel the adoption papers, birth certificates, and inheritance declaration documents of Ms. Loan. It was determined that the house and land at 5 Doan Thi Diem (Ward 1, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City) had been gifted to Ms. Le Thi Hong Phuong (Ms. Nhung's daughter).
In addition, Ms. Nhung also requested the appellate court to determine that artist Vu Linh had no heirs in the first line of inheritance, only she and Mr. Vo Thanh Nhieu (younger brother of the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh) were the second line of inheritance entitled to the entire inheritance.
Ms. Nhung said that the court of first instance determined that Ms. Loan was in the first line of inheritance and entitled to 85% of the inheritance value, which was incorrect. Because Ms. Loan was not a legally adopted child; the adoption papers and birth certificates were not in accordance with regulations.
According to Ms. Nhung, Ms. Loan was brought back by an acquaintance to be raised by her mother. Declaring her relationship with the head of the household as "child" was a procedure for Ms. Loan to live and study.
Regarding house number 5 Doan Thi Diem, Ms. Nhung said that this house was given to Ms. Le Thi Hong Phuong by artist Vu Linh. Until the late artist passed away, he did not change his mind, so it is no longer her brother's legacy.
As for Ms. Vo Thi Hong Loan, she said that the first instance court had determined that she was the legitimate child, the only person in the first line of inheritance of artist Vu Linh. However, the first instance court had divided her father's inheritance into two parts, with the ratio of 85% for Ms. Loan and 15% for Ms. Nhung, which was unreasonable. Ms. Loan requested the High People's Court in Ho Chi Minh City to amend the first instance judgment in the direction of not allowing Ms. Nhung to receive 15% of Mr. Ngoan's inheritance.
Recently, Hong Loan and her lawyer have been collecting evidence to prepare for the upcoming appeal.
When asked about the pressure for the appeal hearing on June 24, Hong Loan said that she and her colleagues were not worried. Hong Loan also said that she had clear evidence so she was always assured and kept a good spirit. Currently, Vu Linh's adopted daughter trusts the lawyer and her siblings who accompanied her in the dispute over the late artist Vu Linh's inheritance.
Meanwhile, on the side of singer Hong Phuong and her daughter, the family has been keeping a low profile recently. The singer and her daughter have participated in many social activities and have not made any statements regarding the lawsuit with Hong Loan.
