When the group of guests left, the staff detained them and asked them to check their bags. At first, the group of guests definitely did not agree and said that there were only clothes inside. But after seeing the images from the camera, they agreed to let the staff check. As a result, there were a lot of crabs, crabs, shrimp, sashimi and kimsa dumplings in the bag. Total seafood up to 10kg.

The restaurant then asked to pay for the leftover food, but the group of customers did not agree, and asked the ward police to assist. Finally, the customer group was fined an amount corresponding to the amount of goods taken.

On January 26, a representative of the Lang Ha Ward Police (Dong Da District, Hanoi) confirmed that a buffet restaurant in the area had just discovered a group of 7 guests going to eat a buffet but secretly stuffed up to 10kg of seafood into it. take-home bag.

"We have worked with both customers and restaurant owners. This group of customers came to eat, took a lot of processed food but couldn't eat it all, so they took it home. If customers take unprocessed seafood, it is an act theft. Therefore, this case will be handled according to the restaurant's regulations." Lang Ha ward police representative said.

According to information in Vietnamnet newspaper, the Chief of Police of Lang Ha Ward (Dong Da District) confirmed that the incident occurred at the restaurant when diners came to eat buffet to take food to take home. Specifically, the group of guests took a lot of prepared food and couldn't eat it all, so they took it home. If a customer takes unprocessed seafood, it is an act of theft. Therefore, this case will only be handled according to the restaurant's regulations.

Also in the Vietnamnet newspaper, Ms. T. - the person who arranged the table for the group of guests to eat said that this was an invitation to friends and employees for a year-end dinner. The person who took 10kg of food to bring home was Ms. B., an employee of Ms. T.

According to Ms. T, Ms. B. has a difficult family background, her father died early, her family is poor and has many children so she cannot study. This was Ms. B.'s first time going to a buffet. Because she was illiterate, she couldn't read and understand the restaurant's regulations. That's why after eating, I saw there was leftover food so I took it home to give to my relatives.

After confronting the restaurant, Ms. B. did not have the m.oney to pay according to regulations, so Ms. T. took responsibility and paid the fine instead.

Ms. T. said she did not agree with the restaurant's handling of the situation by not understanding and overdoing things. The fine amount Ms. T. paid was 2.5 million VND.
