Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Thach, born in 1948, was a lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and is now retired. He is the author of many applied research works, textbooks, and reference books on Chemistry.

Previously, he contributed twice to the Le Van Thoi A.ward (an a.ward honoring excellent graduation theses at the Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels, conducted and defended at the University of Natural Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City National University).
