Specifically, due to the suspicion that Mr. Nguyen Van D. (an official of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Cai Be district) had an emotional relationship with his wife, so on the night of March 11, Doctor Nguyen Van Nguu hired a number of subjects to monitor and beat Mr. Nguyen Van D. frown. However, these subjects mistakenly killed Ms. Vo Thi Muoi while riding a motorbike with Mr. D., leading to her death.

The incident happened at about 23:30 on March 11, Mrs. Muoi was driving a motorbike carrying Mr. Nguyen Van D. (officer of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Cai Be district) walking on National Highway 1 (directing from Cai Lay to My Thuan Bridge) to the section near Hong Duc gas station (in My Thanh Nam commune, Cai Lay district) was attacked by 2 men. The subjects fled immediately after committing the crime. After that, although she was immediately taken to the emergency room, Ms. Muoi died at the Central Hospital of Tien Giang province. According to the results of the autopsy, Mrs. Muoi died from acute hemorrhagic shock with penetrating wounds to the abdomen and perforation of the small intestine.

The police then also arrested and searched the residence for: Mr. Nguyen Van Nguu (57 years old, living in Ward 1, Cai Lay Town, Director of Cai Lay Regional General Hospital); Huynh Duc Trong (nickname Trong Mat, 37 years old, living in My Luoc hamlet, Thien Trung commune, Cai Be district), Nguyen Ngoc Hau (nicknamed Hau Ma Voi, 26 years old, living in An Hoa hamlet, An Cu commune, H. .Cai Be) and Le Quoc Dat (nicknamed Hugo, 34 years old, living in Ward 3, Ward 4, TX. Cai Lay), to investigate the act of "murder".

Colonel Nguyen Van Nhut, Director of Tien Giang Provincial Police, said that, realizing the particularly serious nature of the case, the Deputy Director of the Provincial Public Security organized a fight and arrested the subjects. After collecting all the evidence and documents, at about 23:30 on April 8, the police urgently arrested the above 4 subjects.

Through the search, the police seized 50 million VND, an object suspected to be a grenade along with other evidences related to the case.

Immediately after being arrested, the testimony of the suspects was very small. By noon on April 9, the suspects initially admitted their crimes. Dat confessed to the police that it was he who stabbed Muoi with a knife, and the other subjects also confessed to their actions.

Initially determining the cause of murder stemming from erotic jealousy and the subjects had prepared tools and means of crime, and at the same time had prepared tricks to deal with the investigative agency. .

Among the arrested subjects, Le Quoc Dat is being sent to compulsory drug rehabilitation in Tri Ton - An Giang.
