Do Thi Ha said she hesitated when submitting her application in 2020, even hiding it from her parents for fear of failure. However, the contest helped her mature and become more confident. "I submitted my application to the Miss Vietnam 2020 Organizing Committee 3 days before the Northern preliminary round. At that time, I was still wondering if submitting my application was the right thing to do. Because the profiles of the contestants posted online were very beautiful and talented, which made me feel insecure. At that time, I thought I was just okay, but only when I was crowned did I realize how beautiful I was," she said.

For Do Thi Ha, participating in Miss Vietnam 2020 is a valuable first experience in life, an event to write in her youth diary. She affirmed that this journey has love, hardship, and tears.

"Miss Vietnam is not the journey that changed Ha's life, but after winning the title, I had more opportunities to go to more places and meet more people. I realized that when you understand yourself, you will have ways to make yourself more beautiful," said Miss Do Thi Ha. According to Do Thi Ha, the crown is very heavy, both literally and figuratively. "After being crowned, I faced pressure from the media, public opinion, some people loved me, some people hated me. However, the biggest pressure is to keep the title of Miss Vietnam, to make myself better, and to aim for better things," Do Thi Ha emphasized.

She affirmed that the greatest asset of a beauty queen is not money but influence. Many charity programs called for by Miss Do Thi Ha received great support from donors. "For me, the greatest asset of a beauty queen is influence, not money. Sometimes, I use my personal money to do charity and feel appreciated when my labor is used in a meaningful way," Do Thi Ha expressed.

"I am much more confident now, but before I was afraid of feeling like a failure. I was embarrassed so I didn't dare tell my parents. Until the semi-finals, the media coverage of the contest was so strong that my parents knew the information. At first, my parents called to complain about why I went to the contest without telling them, but everyone sympathized because they understood that I was quite independent and didn't depend on or rely on anyone," she said.

Also at the exchange, Miss Do Thi Ha encouraged young people to believe in themselves. She shared the secret to having many outfits during the beauty contest journey is to exchange clothes for the contestants.

She also revealed that the most stressful part of the competition was the closed interview with the judges. This was an opportunity for the organizers and judges to understand the contestants better. The contestants were able to express themselves, but it was stressful for those who did not have much communication experience.

"In competitions like that, you need to relax and just be yourself. I'm not the best or the most beautiful, but I'm always myself, I don't need to act. I'm grateful and appreciative to be a child of the Miss Vietnam family," she shared.

At the program, journalist Phung Cong Suong assessed that students of the Diplomatic Academy have many advantages in the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest.

"In recent competitions, one of the skills that beauty queens and runners-up need to reach the world level is communication skills. The students are trained in a traditional, professional environment, with good foreign language and diplomatic skills.

That is the reason we chose the Diplomatic Academy as the first location in the Miss Vietnam 2024 recruitment program," said Mr. Phung Cong Suong.

Responding to students' questions, Mr. Phung Cong Suong affirmed that the Organizing Committee will sponsor contestants, especially contestants participating in the advanced rounds, all expenses for accommodation, travel and costumes, ensuring fairness and equality for all contestants from the preliminary round to the final round.
