Not only condoling with the victims' families, after the serious fire occurred, many netizens called for joint support for the victims of the fire. In particular, many people living in Hanoi have posted articles on social networks asking for temporary accommodation for victims of the mini apartment fire.
"My house has 3 spare rooms, ready to invite brothers and sisters, you are safe and do not have a temporary place to stay. My house is on Khuong Dinh Street," a donor living in Hanoi shared on Facebook, inviting victims of the apartment fire to stay at their homes while waiting to settle down.
"I have an apartment of 150m square, 4 bedrooms full of unused furniture that can accommodate 1 or 2 dozen people, so anyone in the Khuong Dinh mini apartment fire who does not have a place to live can contact me to stay while looking for a new house! Best regards!", another post on Facebook to share the hardship with the victims of the apartment fire was supported by many netizens.
"I have a 200 square meter warehouse that is empty, with enough places to eat, sleep, sanitize, water heater, air conditioner and clean and safe, so that those who live in 29 Khuong Dinh apartment who are injured after being discharged from the hospital can stay temporarily before finding a new place.
I can take care of 3 meals, stay about 10-20 people. Anyone who needs it can contact me for assistance," said a donor who is willing to provide both shelter and food for the victims of the fire. This article has also "caused a fever" on Facebook, attracting thousands of "Heart Drops" and hundreds of shares of the online community.
Netizens, who could not afford to share accommodation, also donated money and necessities through the authorities, or went directly to the scene of the fire to assist the victims. Many people have also posted posts on social media to urge relatives and friends to also join hands to donate.
"Watching the pictures of the fire without holding back tears. Thinking of the moment the victims faced the flames, how frightened and hurt would they be? I would like to donate some necessities for the victims, hoping to help them somewhat overcome this difficult period", Mr. T.Binh shared on his personal Facebook page.
Social media has also become an effective tool for people who are far away to find information about relatives and friends who are missing or cannot be contacted after an apartment fire.
