Recently, the case of a car suspected of transporting banned substances rushing into the police force of Long An province, causing many casualties, is the focus of public attention. Recently, the authorities have also made important decisions related to the case.

Previously, on April 21 in H. Duc Hoa (Long An) there was a particularly serious traffic accident. It is known that at this time, Duc Hoa district police coordinated with functional units to carry out patrol and control tasks on the provincial road 824 section through My Hanh Nam commune (Duc Hoa district) to catch criminals buying and selling, transportation of prohibited goods.

Here, the functional forces discovered a car with the control plate 49C-29601 circulating at a fast speed towards Ho Chi Minh City with many suspicious signs.

The traffic police of Duc Hoa District Police gave a signal to stop the car to check, but the driver did not comply, but ran straight into the functional force to run away. The car continued to hit a number of traffic vehicles on the road and then overturned.

Immediately after, the driver of the car causing an accident and one person sitting in the car were controlled by the functional forces and arrested on the spot. Both suspects are being held in criminal custody by the Long An Provincial Police Department.

The incident made Major Nguyen Thanh Hao (working at the Traffic Police Team, Duc Hoa District Police) and two people, Huynh Nguyen Chi Man (born in 1994, living in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City), Phan Thi Kim Thanh (born in 1973, living in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) was seriously injured and died while going to the emergency room.

After the incident, leaders of Long An Provincial Police were present at the scene to direct professional units to urgently investigate and clarify the incident.

This is an act of thug nature, especially dangerous against public official, directly infringing on the health and life of police officers and soldiers and people's lives.

The Prime Minister sent his condolences to the bereaved family. At the same time, he asked the Ministry of Public Security to direct the Police of Long An province to urgently investigate, verify and strictly handle in accordance with law those who commit acts of hooliganism and resisting public officials. Police units and localities tighten control and strictly handle similar cases.

In particular, the Ministry of Public Security was assigned to direct the immediate implementation of procedures and submit to competent authorities for consideration and awarding the title of martyr to the major traffic police officer who died while performing his duties and implementing the regimes. family policy as prescribed.

The Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee directed to strengthen patrolling, control and strictly handle violations of the law on traffic order and safety; urgently investigate, clarify the cause, and strictly handle the violating organizations and individuals causing the accident.

On the afternoon of April 23, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, led the delegation to visit Major Nguyen Xuan Hao. At the same time, handing over the decision of the Minister of Public Security on the promotion to the rank of major to lieutenant colonel to Major Nguyen Xuan Hao.

Regarding this incident, on the same day, the leader of the Long An Provincial Police Advisory Department said that the Provincial Police Department has just issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case. In addition, according to the General Department of Public Security of Long An province, through the inspection of the vehicle that caused the accident, the functional forces discovered 5kg of solid crystalline substance and 4 wheels suspected of being banned.

At the same time, the functional forces searched the relevant locations in Duc Hoa District. Thereby arresting 3 other people involved and seizing an additional 1 kg of crystalline solids and 14 cakes of suspected banned substances.

Through work, the driver of the BS 49C-296.01 car admitted that he had previously used banned substances.

Currently, the Long An Provincial Police Department is completing procedures to prosecute the accused against the driver of the vehicle for the act of causing death. Because the case is continuing to expand investigation, the Long An Provincial Police Department has not provided the identities of the suspects for the time being.
