Then he was bullied and teased by his classmates and because he loved his mother, he was determined to learn martial arts to protect himself and his family.
"At that time, I was red, writing many people's names, so I was easily jealous. Once I was blocked by my friends for 'interacting'. A group of about 20 people. At that time, I didn't know martial arts, so I just tried to run," he recalled.
Having studied up to the 3rd year of information technology at Thu Dau Mot University, Ben Eagle decided to quit to pursue his childhood dream.
Up to now, he has had 15 years of pursuing cinematic martial arts. It was a long journey and not easy for him. The biggest difficulty comes from the family's obstruction.
Ben Eagle confided: "My parents wanted me to go to school, get a university degree and apply for a job at a company, with a stable salary. In the beginning, my family and I no longer had a common voice. I decided to leave home to pursue my passion.
At that time, there was no rent money, I lived at a friend's house for a few months. Then I applied for a job. Two years later, when things gradually stabilized, I began to pursue martial arts. When I got my first action roles in the film, I stopped worrying. I pursued my passion from scratch and it took me 10 years to prove that passion was right."
Sharing about the joys and sorrows of the stunt profession, Ben Eagle said that this is a profession that "gives the aura" to others because the audience will not know the face of the actor even though they contribute to the film beautiful and dangerous action scenes.
To perform those scenes, he had to go through a long time of hard training. But the salary of the stunt actor profession is not high: "With my first role, I only received about 200,000 VND when I acted in a music video, shown on YouTube. It's really sad, I don't see much hope in this profession either. But because of my passion, I was determined to follow. It must have eaten my blood."
Pursuing his passion with empty hands, lacking support from relatives, but what makes martial arts director Ben Eagle never want to stop is because of his dreams.
Martial arts give us the courage to speak up
