The case file shows that the plaintiff, Ms. Phuong, requested to receive back the two houses and land mentioned above, while Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Anh and baby H. (daughter of actor Duc Tien and his wife) each received a portion of actor Duc Tien's inheritance.

The defendant, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, filed a counterclaim, requesting the court not to recognize the legal value in Vietnam of Mr. Tien's will dated August 9, 2023, made in the US. In addition, Ms. Anh requested the court to determine that the house and land in Thu Duc is the joint property of the defendant and actor Duc Tien. From there, Ms. Anh received 50% of the house value, determining that the house and land in Linh Dong ward, Thu Duc city, is the joint property of her and her son, so she should receive 50%.

In addition, the legacy left by the late actor Duc Tien is determined to include: 50% of the value of the above house and land, 50% of the land plot in Long An (in the joint property with Ms. Phuong). Equally dividing 50% of the value of the land plot in Long An for the first line of heirs, Ms. Anh is entitled to a portion. Ms. Anh believes that she has contributed to the management and restoration of the late actor Duc Tien's property, so she requests to receive the above house and pay Ms. Phuong.

Although before that, at her son's funeral, actor Duc Tien's mother also shared about her relationship with her daughter-in-law - Miss Binh Phuong. She said that in the past two days, everyone was busy and tired so they could not contact each other, but she knew that after experiencing this great loss, her daughter-in-law would definitely be depressed and her health might decline.

She commented that Duc Tien's wife is a filial and gentle daughter-in-law. The mother and daughter have maintained a good relationship for many years, despite living apart in the US and Vietnam.
