Recently, on her personal page, Miss Binh Phuong - the wife of the late actor Duc Tien posted a forum to share the problem of being scrutinized in her private life, leading to her having to block an account on Facebook.
Accordingly, this person slandered Duc Tien's wife, giving information that according to Miss Binh Phuong was untrue, making her angry.
Binh Phuong wrote on his personal page: "Everything Binh Phuong does is public because I'm not afraid... When Mr. Tien was alive, he used to go to parties and take pictures with a lot of beautiful people, why didn't she scrutinize?
But when it was Binh Phuong and Meo's turn to attend the birthday parties and holidays of friends and family, she would snoop, scrutinize and say that she took pictures with strange boys... Deliberately distorting things, overdoing things compared to reality, playing dirty... It's ridiculous to see the little lady behaving!"
It can be seen that Duc Tien's wife feels uncomfortable when her private life is scrutinized, and at the same time spreads inaccurate information related to her and her daughter. Below the post, many friends and colleagues have left words of encouragement, messages and hope that Binh Phuong will stay calm and focus on her future life.
Previously, in early March, public opinion was stirred by the information that the late actor Duc Tien's wife sued her mother-in-law, requesting confirmation of ownership of real estate left by her late husband in Thu Duc City and Long An.
According to the lawsuit, Miss Binh Phuong said that her husband had made a will, which clearly stated that she was the heir to the house in Linh Dong ward, Thu Duc city, along with a piece of land in Duc Hoa district, Long An province.
Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Anh and the daughter of the late actor Duc Tien are each entitled to a part of the inheritance, estimated at 666 million VND.
While waiting for the court, Binh Phuong continuously made moves to attract attention.
First, she made public a video that is believed to be important evidence for the lawsuit. In a video posted on her personal channel, Binh Phuong shared a picture of her husband, the late artist Duc Tien, selling a house that is currently in dispute over inheritance rights in Linh Dong Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City in 2023. At that time, the late actor had just flown back from the US and wanted to lower the price to sell the house that had been with him. In the clip, the actor said that he was the one who directly built this house from choosing materials to pouring concrete. He emphasized that he had invested about 1 billion VND to renovate the entire house including the electrical, sanitary and kitchen systems.
On the mother-in-law's side, after being notified by the court, Ms. Ngoc Anh sent a counterclaim. Ms. Anh said that her son's will given by Ms. Binh Phuong, although notarized in the US, was not in accordance with Vietnamese law. She asked to receive 50% of the value of the property (about 2.7 billion VND).
From the above case, many readers wonder if overseas Vietnamese can make a will to divide property in Vietnam?
MSc Nguyen Duc Hieu - International University, VNU Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City said that based on the current Civil Code, Vietnamese living abroad have the right to make a will to dispose of their property in Vietnam.
According to Clause 5, Article 638 of the Civil Code, a written will made abroad will be legally valid if it is certified by the consulate or diplomatic mission of Vietnam in the host country.
This means that overseas Vietnamese can make a written will and carry out certification procedures at the Vietnamese diplomatic mission in the host country. At this time, the foreigner's will be valid as a notarized will.
A will takes effect when it meets the conditions on form and content as prescribed by Vietnamese law.
