It is known that at that time, he switched to real estate. At first, he had a successful business, then gradually lost money and went bankrupt. Mentally broken, he used to think negatively, but thanks to his mother and many relatives' advice, the singer regained his spirit.

Viet Quang admitted that there was a time when he wanted to end his life when he went bankrupt.

"In the past, I saw people doing business to get rich, so I also wanted to try business, even though I didn't know anything about this field at that time, I could only sing. Viet Quang said.

He said, once he considered suicide by taking pills, but the case failed because his mother found out. She then took him to a psychiatrist to treat his depression.

4 years later, when appearing at a music event for students, Viet Quang shared that this is the right time to return to singing.

Viet Quang's determination to work makes many colleagues admire. He accepted to return to the original starting point, redoing from zero because the music market had changed. Singer Quang Thanh - Viet Quang's close senior - said that he had witnessed Viet Quang collapse by rumors of debt default.
