The Christmas atmosphere is everywhere, from crowded streets to every corner of every family. In the hustle and bustle of the last days of the year, somewhere there are still fathers and mothers diligently finishing their work to return home soon.
Recently, a clip shared on social media has made many people choke up. In the video, a female shipper was delivering goods in the evening when she was suddenly given a small gift by the shop owner. Inside were cute teddy bears, with a warm message: "This is a gift from the shop for you, a Christmas gift for you. Merry Christmas!".
Receiving the unexpected gift, the female shipper could not hide her emotions. She choked up, her eyes blurred, and it took a while for her to calm down. Immediately after that, she called her little daughter. During the phone conversation, she gently said: "Here is a gift for you, my uncle at the shop gave it to you. Thank him, my uncle wishes you a Merry Christmas too!"
That simple but sweet moment touched the hearts of many people. A small gift but brought great joy to a mother who was struggling for her chil.d. In the clip, the gir.l's bright smile when receiving the gift made everyone feel warm.
The story not only makes people appreciate acts of kindness more, but also serves as a reminder of the meaning of sharing during the holiday season. Many people expressed their gratitude to the shop owner - who brought unexpected joy to a small family. At the same time, many compliments were sent to the female shipper, who raised her daughter to appreciate and be grateful for good things. Indeed, this moment is a warm medicine to soothe the fatigue at the end of the year!
The story in the viral video above is just a small branch in the chain of beautiful actions that many restaurant owners give to people working in the delivery industry, for example, the story of a restaurant owner in Hanoi. The shipper came to pick up two servings of vermicelli soup to deliver to a customer, but was surprised to see the restaurant owner give three servings with the message "for you to have lunch".
Receiving a gift from Nguyen Hai Anh, owner of a noodle shop on Nguyen Van Huyen Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi, delivery man Pham Van Nam, 29 years old, in Bac Tu Liem District, said he was moved, even though this was the second time he had received a lunch.
"Every time I receive a bowl of noodles, I feel grateful because someone still remembers me. The price of a bowl of noodles is not too expensive, but what's more important is the owner's feelings and heart," Nam said. After receiving the bowl of noodles and saying thank you, the male shipper quickly left to deliver it to the customer on time.
Mr. Hai Anh, 35 years old, owner of a vermicelli soup shop, said that he has maintained the activity of giving away lunch to shippers since the end of 2023. Between 10am and 12pm every day, he will give an extra meal to any shipper who comes to pick up the goods. However, not everyone accepts because some have already eaten, some are preparing to go home to eat so they give it to others.
Explaining the reason for giving away food to delivery people, the restaurant owner said it started after a chance conversation with a delivery person who came to pick up the goods at the end of lunch. Knowing that this person was still hungry because he was in a hurry to deliver the goods, he had the idea of making an extra gift and has maintained the operation until now.
"Making a few more servings of noodles or earning a few dollars less in profit doesn't make me poorer. Just help within your ability, without calculating the gains and losses," said Hai Anh. Videos of the restaurant owner giving a serving of noodles to a delivery person were shared on social media, attracting millions of likes and comments. Most of the comments under the videos expressed admiration and appreciation for the small but meaningful action of the male restaurant owner.
"Instead of using the word "gift", the owner said "gift" to the shipper, which sounds so cute and warm. Thank you for the positive energy when the recipient, the giver and the viewer are all happy," commented a netizen named Thuy Ha.
Hai Anh has been selling vermicelli soup since 2018 after a period of time in the construction materials business with his parents. On the first day of opening the shop, the 35-year-old man posted an A4 piece of paper in front of the door with the words "free for the needy". Since then, whenever he sees street vendors, disabled people, or homeless children, he invites them in to eat for free, choosing whatever they want.
