Many people know that before marrying the owner of Dai Nam, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang had been through two husbands.
However, there are still side stories that few people know.
Ms. Hang introduced herself as having settled in Canada at the ag.e of 16 and married a wealthy Chinese man. But after only a few years of living together and having a chil.d, her husband passed away.
Ms. Hang herself said that her first husband left her and her children an inheritance of up to 18 million USD. After the family incident, she brought all her assets back to Vietnam to do business.
Ms. Hang said that thanks to the assets she brought back from abroad, she became a successful businesswoman when investing in many fields such as real estate, forestry, fashion...
In the past, Ms. Hang, with the name Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen, appeared in part in the case of Nam Cam and his accomplices.
It is known that three years after her first husband passed away, in 1997, Ms. Hang returned to Vietnam and lived as husband and wife with Do Dat Giang (born in 1964, residing in Phu Nhuan district), a junior of Nam Cam. The two rented a house on Truong Son street, Tan Binh district to live and then bought this house back.
According to the investigation, Ms. Hang (then named Tuyen) stated that Giang had physically abused her many times and forced her to add his name to the house sale papers. Giang also came to her and pressured her mother to show him the house papers and forced Ms. Hang to write a confirmation that there was no dispute.
Later, when he testified to the police, Do Dat Giang did not admit to extorting the house, claiming that he paid for it and that Ms. Hang (aka Tuyen) was just an accomplice. Even when Ms. Hang borrowed 7 taels of gold at an interest rate of 3%/month from someone else to pay the homeowner, it was Giang who signed the papers.
Ms. Hang's mother also accuse.d Do Dat Giang of making things difficult for her and taking 10 taels of gold. The reason was that she and her children bought a house together in Go Vap, but during the time Ms. Hang lived with Giang, he kept the key. In the end, Ms. Hang's mother had to give Giang 5 taels of gold to avoid being made difficult in selling the house.
After the Nam Cam case broke out, Mr. Do Dat Giang was arrested, and Ms. Hang and her son filed a complaint. Based on the complaint of Ms. Phuong Hang and her son and a number of others, Do Dat Giang was sentenced to 7 years in prison for "extortion".
In 2006, Ms. Hang married businessman Tran Van Thin (born 1963, from Ben Tre).
At that time, the divorce of Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang and her ex-husband, Mr. Tran Van Thin, caused a public storm. Together, they established Dong Nam Long Company Limited with a capital contribution ratio of 50/50. This is a company that grows rubber trees, produces and trades this tree species and some other industrial trees.
In 2008, the couple separated, dissolved the company and began negotiating the division of their joint assets. Mr. Tran Van Thin received more than 200 hectares of rubber. Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang received more than 360 hectares of rubber land according to the corresponding Land Use Rights Certificate.
However, despite the divorce, Mr. Tran Van Thin still secretly operated Dong Nam Long Company without going through Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang. Her ex-husband also forged the female tycoon's signature in some documents to move Dong Nam Long's headquarters to Binh Phuoc, thereby intending to appropriate the property.
At the end of May 2012, the Security Investigation Agency - Ministry of Public Security initiated a case and prosecuted Mr. Tran Van Thin for "Forgery of documents". Searching Mr. Thin's private home, the authorities seized dozens of kilograms of documents, slanderous letters, anonymous signatures but unknown names and addresses. All were aimed at Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang, spreading many false rumors to discredit the female tycoon.
Knowing the story, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang, who had been married to Mr. Dung Lo Voi for 1 year at that time, immediately shared: "Through the evidence that the law enforcement agency seized, I learned that Mr. Thin and another woman named NHY - from Ben Tre - were the "authors" of the malicious rumors that have been spread about my husband and I over the years."
From the above incident, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang decided to sue her ex-husband. Mr. Dung Lo Voi's wife further informed that Mr. Thin spread spam on the internet, distributed flyers all over Binh Duong that he had borrowed thousands of billions of dong from the bank. Notably, Mr. Thin also slandered her as Kim Anh - Nam Cam's wife. Many news sites and newspaper offices received fabricated news about Mr. Dung Lo Voi's declining business, the tycoon had prepared a mental illness certificate to "clear the way for withdrawal".
The lawsuit that year ended with Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang winning, keeping the 170 billion VND rubber garden. Mr. Tran Van Thin was sent to prison. In the end, the owner of Dai Nam chose to give the rubber garden to the Truong Sa soldiers.
At the time Ms. Hang became the center of attention, many YouTubers also reported that Ms. Hang's ex-husband had been released from prison and was determined to find her to reclaim his old debt.
