Chi Dung: Male god of television, owns a villa like a castle, 2000m2 wide

Chi Dung is a TV actor who has long been no stranger to movie lovers. With passion and serious artistic activities, Chi Dung has made an impression on fans through a series of hit works.

With a gentle smile and a sweet voice, Chi Dung immediately attracted the opposite person because of his simplicity and sincerity to "harvest" the South. Previously, when living in Texas - USA, Chi Dung should have had a dream life with a stable job, almost perfect living conditions... However, the desire to live for his passion for cinema is still like a smoldering fire burning in him. When the film crew of Obsession recruited actors, Dung came and looked for opportunities. After many efforts, the guy from Ca Mau has got a fairly heavy role, besides a big name of Vietnamese cinema at one time - female artist Kieu Chinh. This is a difficult role, with a lot of internal struggle, requiring the actor to have depth of thinking and life experience. And Dung succeeded.

After Obsession, the door to art opened a new path for Chi Dung. Tall, handsome and has the appearance of a rich man, but Chi Dung always wants to play the role of a farmer. With his eyes experienced for many years in the profession, director Phan Hoang boldly assigned the overseas Vietnamese to play the role of Hai Thuc in the movie Country Aspiration. Chi Dung's very "sweet" role-playing ability has left many good impressions in the hearts of audiences who love TV series, especially films on rural themes. More than a year later, Country Aspiration was honored to win the Silver Medal at the National Drama Festival in 2009. The initial successes were like the wind that ignited the desire to become a movie actor of the guy with a bold Asian eyelid. Chi Dung decided to return to Vietnam to continue "burning" for his dream.

Chi Dung once shared: "Many times I thought, it was the Organization that chose me to enter the profession, so when I was studying abroad in the US, I had the opportunity to be exposed to art. Even the first role in her life, participating with Ms. Kieu Chinh - filmed in the US came very unexpectedly, completely unexpected.

It seems that it is just a memory of my student days, participating in art as a beautiful memory... Then after graduating from school and going to work, I will no longer think about it. But just as Nguyen Du said, "I have brought karma into my body", no matter where I go, what I do... will also have the opportunity to push me to the profession.

In 2006, I visited my hometown, had the chance to meet director Phan Hoang and participate in the lead role in the movie Aspiration for the Country. The film won the second prize at the National Television Festival in 2007.

After that, I thought it was true that I had a predestined career, whether in the US or in Vietnam, I received invitations to act in films from directors. I think if the organization has called my name several times, I should follow that passionate call."

Returning home at the right time when Vietnam is saturated with movies. The fertile land of Saigon is a gathering place for talented people, which is really a great pressure for Chi Dung when he only has a few films in his hands and a burning artistic dream. How to assert your position among countless well-trained young actors, not to mention music and fashion stars encroaching on the field? That question still lingered in his mind.

With the nature of a person who always has a sense of progress, determination and passion, the Ca Mau b.oy has gradually conquered the Saigon public through a series of TV series such as: The Green Roses, Returning to the Hometown to Marry His Wife, Listening to Tea, The Story of Be Village... In the end, the guy has established a firm foothold in the 7th art village in his homeland, as evidenced by the fact that he was awarded the Best Actor of the Year a.ward by the Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Association in 2011.

Chi Dung further confided: "From 2006 to 2012, I participated in more than ten films, including about six starring films. Actually, in more than six years of rolling with the profession, I have not spent full time on the profession because I still have my own life in the US. Every time I receive a film script, I spend a long time researching to penetrate the role. I don't know how fate pushed me to shoot every film, the background of the fields, wading in the river, bathing in the rain... Everyone saw that I was born white, and I had been in the United States for a long time, so I was afraid that I would not be used to it. But in fact, that second homeland is not completely a great promised land as many people think. On that side, the rich or the poor are extreme."

After a long time of dedication to art, Chi Dung also has a magnificent property, which is a 2000m2 villa, in which the garden and swimming pool area occupy about 1,500 m2. The garden grows many types of fruit trees such as jackfruit, mango, plum... The campus is decorated and designed by Chi Dung himself. After busy hours on the set, Chi Dung likes to go home to rest, enjoy a slow and peaceful life.

Chi Dung has lived with his parents and siblings since he was a teenager. After returning from studying abroad, he took over the house. In 2003, the villa was rebuilt, so far it has been repaired many times. The furniture in Chi Dung's house is mainly made of wood of great value. Many colleagues visited and joked that his house was like a furniture supermarket because it displayed so many things from the living room, bedroom and kitchen.

The family is large, so he arranges tables and chairs in the living room quite widely, enough room for many people to sit and play at the same time. Few people know that he is able to play many musical instruments such as guitar and piano. In his spare time, Chi Dung plays the piano to relax his mind and relieve stress.
