Che Phong - Che Linh's son: Divorce.d Thanh Thanh Hien, moved to the US to live in a 100m2 prefabricated house

Che Phong was born in 1973, is a singer who specializes in lyrical songs, loved by Vietnamese and overseas audiences. He is the son of famous singer Che Linh, and is said to have the most similar voice and performance style to his father.

Che Phong is also the most successful singer in the family, just after Che Linh.

Sharing about his father, he said: "I am Che Linh's son, so at first when I started singing, I was favored by everyone, that was my advantage.

Thirty years ago, when I was 19 years old, everyone who heard that I was the son of the famous singer Che Linh invited me to sing. Only then did I realize how beneficial being Che Linh's son was to me, which I didn't know before. When I went to sing or go to school, I introduced myself as Che Linh's son and received more favor.

My peers at that time all had to sing as backup singers. Backup singers had to wait for the stars to arrive. On days when the stars had not arrived, they could sing, and when they had finished singing, they had to go home. All my friends were like that, but I was the only one who got to sing because I was Che Linh's son.

But my father never introduced me to any shows when I sang. I always found shows myself. I also told him that he didn't need to introduce me to shows, that I would find them myself or that anyone who knew me could invite me.

When I was in Vietnam, Van Son called me himself to invite me to sing in America, my father never sent me. But I am like my father in that I never introduce my relatives to sing.

My father and I were both afraid that people would think that we were using our reputation to make things difficult for the show organizer. Therefore, I had to try my best, and when I went on stage, I had to strive to sing my best to prove my ability.

Being Che Linh's son has helped me 50%, I'm so proud, I don't even need to sing and people already love me, now there's only 1% left to strive to overcome that 50%, if you can't do it then it's a waste.

My father has many children and they are regular, meaning he gives birth every year. In my family, the oldest brother was born in 1963 and the two youngest brothers were born in 1984 and 1985. These two brothers were born in Canada and are still living there. I have never met my father's two children. In total, my father gave birth to 14 children, 7 boys and 7 girls.

All of my father's sons know how to sing, but I am the only one who has been able to make the most of this career until now. My older brother used to sing, but he stopped in 2000."

In addition to his heart-warming love songs, Che Phong also attracted public attention for his love affair with artist Thanh Thanh Hien, who is 4 years older than him. Previously, Che Phong had 2 broken marriages and had 3 children; Thanh Thanh Hien also has two daughters from her marriage with Meritorious Artist Hoang Anh Tu. Having both experienced broken happiness, they easily sympathized and shared with each other. Their love continued to grow and led to their wedding in 2015. The couple lives together in a large garden house in Soc Son, Hanoi.

However, this relationship did not last long. They announced their divorce 5 years after their wedding. Although they are no longer husband and wife, Che Phong still shows affection for his ex-wife's relatives. Thanh Thanh Hien, although not in contact with Che Phong, does not forbid him from talking to her daughter and relatives.

In early August 2021, Che Phong decided to go to the US to reunite with his family while the COVID-19 pandemic was still tense. He shared at that time: "I cannot say I am happy while the whole country is fightin.g the pandemic. But honestly, I am very happy to be reunited with my family after many years apart."

In early 2024, singer Che Phong posted a clip on his YouTube channel showing off his new house to everyone. The singer bought a mobile home for three billion VND and moved in at the en.d of 2023. He once said he was very satisfied with his simple home, with a garden, three bedrooms and a cozy living room. Since moving here, Che Phong has felt that life abroad is peaceful and gentle.

Che Phong excitedly shared: "It's been a long time since I appeared on my YouTube channel, the reason is that I just moved to a new house. I moved right at the en.d of the year, I was so busy. This house of mine is a little bigger than the other one. The previous house I lived in had one room, this new house has three rooms so I kept one room for myself.

I moved house at the en.d of the year, moved into the new house on December 31, 2023 and officially moved in on January 1, 2024. I moved here to live with a younger brother, the two of us moved so hard that we were exhausted. That day it was still raining heavily. I also just finished recording a song to celebrate moving into the new house. This is the first time I sang this song, I really like this song, and it is very timely. It is the song "Em den tham anh dem 30". I have finished cleaning the house, now I have free time to focus on my profession. I have my own working corner, not affecting anyone, just doing my own thing".

Having said that, Che Phong played the newly recorded song and walked around the house for the audience to admire his new house. The house is not too big but spacious and clean. The interior is simple but complete, with a piano, guitar and some music equipment, helping Che Phong play music and sing with his true passion. Che Phong's room is small but clean, tidy, decorated just enough, with windows overlooking the spacious and airy street.

Currently, Che Phong rarely sings. He works as a videographer, editing videos, recording his daily life in the form of vlogs and posting them on YouTube. Che Phong's personal YouTube channel with nearly 20,000 subscribers is constantly updated with new videos and activities at his new home.

Through the shared videos, it can be seen that Che Phong is having a happy and peaceful life with his family in a foreign country. He occasionally participates in shows to serve the audience. In his free time, the artist spends it cleaning the house, cooking, and taking care of the garden.
