When he returns to the hospital, Dr. Ly wishes to continue working at radiation department 5 (K Hospital) - this is also where Dr. Ly was working before the rare accident occurred. The hospital will continue to arrange for female doctors to work in the department and will assign appropriate jobs according to Dr. Ly's wishes.

So as of today, Dr. Hoang Minh Ly has undergone continuous treatment for more than 3 months at Hanoi Medical University Hospital.

Previously, female resident doctor Hoang Minh Ly (born in 1995, hometown of Dien Dong, Dien Chau, Nghe An) had just graduated as an oncology resident, currently working at K Hospital (Tan Trieu facility). . During the stormy night of April 20, due to the influence of the wind, a tempered glass panel of a coffee shop broke, collapsed, and hit Dr. Ly.

Female doctor Ly was admitted to Hanoi Medical University Hospital with multiple injuries, multiple vertebral body fractures, spinal cord damage causing complete paralysis of both legs, multiple rib fractures causing closed chest injuries and bleeding. - Bilateral pneumothorax, grade 4 liver injury, grade 2 spleen injury.

In particular, the accident left the female doctor with a spondylolisthesis fracture that severely compressed the thoracic and lumbar cord, causing loss of feeling from the chest down, complete paralysis of both legs, and loss of urinary and bowel control.

Having undergone many surgeries (thoracic, digestive, kidney and urinary tract, trauma - spine) and rehabilitation, after more than a month of treatment, near the end of May 2024, female doctor Hoang Minh Ly was discharged from hospital. Switch to rehabilitation treatment. With extraordinary strength and dedicated help from the medical team of Hanoi Medical University Hospital, the female doctor miraculously recovered. Up to now, female doctor Ly has initially stabilized and recovered her health.

According to doctors in the Nghe An Fellows Association of Hanoi Medical University, Dr. Ly was born and raised in a farming family in Dien Dong commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province. The family is currently in an extremely difficult situation when the father is a soldier working far from home, the mother has Lymphoma - a type of blood cancer with a severe prognosis, currently being treated at Tan Trieu K Hospital.
