On September 11, after a tiring month in the city, Ms. L. took a motorbike taxi to My Dinh bus station, with the desire to find a bus to return to Hoa Binh, a familiar distance of nearly 70 km. It was here that she met taxi driver Nguyen Truong Giang, 44 years old, residing in Son Nam ward, Hung Yen province. With a kind appearance and confidential words, Giang approached her and made an irresistible offer: "Get in the car, I won't take the money back."
