Previously, BabyMonster was also involved in a scandal of plagiarism by another rookie group, BADVILLAIN. Accordingly, fans discovered that the two groups used the image of a black silhouette on a red background to reveal the number of members at the time of announcement. BADVILLAIN's logo was commented to have referenced the ideas of Baby Monster and G-Dragon (who were both artists of YG Entertainment).

The highlight was the group's official photo series released on May 26. BADVILLAIN wore denim outfits and took photos against a white background. This style is very similar to the Baby Monster photo series released after Ahyeon's comeback.

In October 2023, Attrakt announced the termination of their exclusive contracts with Sio, Aran, and Saena. The company then filed a lawsuit for 13 billion won in damages against the three members and their parents.
