Sun Wukong in Journey to the West turns out to be real, but is he scheming to harm Tang Monk?

At the beginning of Journey to the West, author Ngo Thua An wrote: "Education to treat the Creator Hoi Nguyen Cong, Tu audience Journey to the West likes the yoke of stories", that is, wants to know what the work of creation is like, wants to understand the meaning of human life. How, need to understand Journey to the West. According to many scholars, the image of the 5 teachers and students of Tang Tang is actually just one person, but few people realize this.
On the way to Tay Truc to ask for sutras, Tang Tang recruited four great disciples, Ton Ngo Khong, Tru Bat Gioi, Sa Ngo Tinh and Bach Long Ma. After 81 tribulations, Tang Tang's teachers and students raised the price of Linh Son to pay homage to Buddha Tathagata. Later, Tang Tang and Sun Wukong attained Buddhahood, Bach Long Ma held the position of Bat Bo Thien Long, Sa Ngo Tinh and Tru Bat Gioi held the position of Arhat and Messenger.
Few people realize, all 5 teachers and students of Tang Tang represent a common characteristic of body and mind in each of us on the journey of self-improvement.
Tang Tang - human emotions, body
In Journey to the West, Tang Tang has an extraordinary body. The previous life of Tang Sang was originally Kim Thien Tu - the second disciple of Buddha Tathagata. However, this person despised the teaching of the Way, so he was exiled and reincarnated in the East by the Buddha.
Kim Thien Tu fell to Dong Tu Dai Duong and began to experience tribulation. The boy was still in the mother's womb when his father was killed, just a month ago his mother had to drop him on a raft to float in the river, almost drowned. Growing up, looking for relatives was not easy, later on the path of cultivation to find the true scriptures had to go through thousands of ups and downs, from one ear to the other.
Whenever there is trouble, as long as there is an unrighteous thought in the mind, a little "wobble" in the mind of praying to the Buddha, all efforts will be ruined, moreover, it may be in danger of life.
In fact, Journey to the West is just a story that borrows the reason to ask for sutras to explain the morality of being human, using fiction to deter people from being benevolent and cultivating their character. Any one of us can be a Tang Sang. Both are physical, have strengths and weaknesses, although they are firm at times, they are also sometimes dull and weak, unable to distinguish between good and evil.
Sun Wukong - The heart of man
Ton Ngo Khong is a stone monkey born from Heaven - Earth, born from heaven and earth, born with the quintessence of heaven and earth. Born with extraordinary good roots, soon understood the truth of impermanence, studied the Way, became a Golden Immortal Taiyi.
Ordained by God as the Great Saint of Heaven, traveling across the horizon and corners of the sea, enjoying the blessings of the fairyland. Just because of extravagance, Ton Ngo Khong had a great uproar in the heavens, was imprisoned by the Buddha under the Marble Mountains for 500 years, "give me iron when hungry, drink rusty copper water when thirsty". After meeting Tang Sang, he vowed to give up his desire to sincerely follow the Buddha's path.
The Chinese have a saying: "Mind of the mind of the horse" (the mind of a monkey, the mind of a horse), which means that people's minds are often disturbed and easily lose control. Therefore, Sun Wukong is a disciple of the heart, representing the word Heart of a monk. That heart is constantly moving restlessly, freely roaming between heaven and earth full of mixed good and evil stories.
Therefore, later on, Guan Yin Bodhisattva had to give Tang Tang a gold bracelet and the song "King orphan uncle" to overcome this mind with Ton Ngo Khong. During the journey to find the true scriptures, only Wukong really gave up his demon mind to live with goodwill, wholeheartedly studied the Way, supported Master Tang Tang, eliminated evil, regained justice and justice. the ultimate attainment of the state required to become a Buddha.
After attaining the righteous fruition, on Linh Son mountain, the Tathagata was ordained: "Ton Ngo Khong, your family supports the Tang Sangha along the way to eliminate demons and destroy evil, and then complete first, and honor the Dou over Buddha" .
Those who have closely followed Journey to the West know that Sun Wukong traveled across the four seas in search of immortals to seek the Way, and eventually became a disciple of Bodhi Patriarch on Linh Dai Phuong Thon mountain, Ta Nguyet Tam Tinh cave. In fact, Ta Nguyet Tam Tinh is the word "Mind". Therefore, it is deeply implied that Ton Ngo Khong is the expression for the word Heart of a monk.
In the Shurangama Sutra, it is also written that the Mind has 72 generals, corresponding to 72 transformations of Wukong. The mind of people is very good at changing, in a moment can change into different kinds of states of mind.
Mind training can make people's hearts bright and wisdom clear, so Thai Thuong Lao Quan's Ba Quai furnace for alchemy can't be burned to death, but on the contrary, it also makes Sun Wukong refine into a golden eye.
Bach Long Ma - human will
Bach Long Ma was originally the son of Tay Hai Long Vuong, from a handsome and handsome Three Crown Prince, but because he damaged the treasure that the Jade Emperor gave him, he was sentenced to death. Later, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva gave Tang Tang assistants to atone for the mistakes made.
When supporting Tang Tang, Tay Hai Long Vuong Tam Thai Tu was a horse, rarely with his brothers participating in fighting with demons, only in the battle of Hoang Bao Monster was a rare time he participated in battle. and informed Tru Bat Gioi that Tang Tang had been turned into a tiger by the Yellow robe monster.
Tay Hai Long Vuong Tam Thai Tu, due to his merit in carrying Duong Huyen Trang, helping the brothers on the way to Tay Thien, should be ordained as Bat Bo Thien Long. Bach Long Ma represents the final idea of the Five Tastes of Unity - Tam Vien Y Ma.
The Heart is already Ton Ngo Khong, the Mind is Bach Long Ma. The meaning here is the will, the determination to move forward, not backward. It is also because this horse is always moving forward to be able to carry the Tripitaka to the West. Bach Long Ma is often considered the youngest brother in the group, but the author still lets Bach Long meet Tang Tang and Ton Ngo Khong before both Bat Gioi and Sa Tang.
Because in order to continue, it is necessary to "unify the mind and mind", Ton Ngo Khong is the one who conquered Bach Long Ma, which means that the mind has united and moved forward. The will to move forward also depends on the mind, it must be "wholehearted" to be able to focus on cultivation, continue to practice without retreating.
Tru Bat Gioi - human lust, hatred and delusion
Tru Bat Gioi initially held the position of Thien Bong Nguyen Soai in Thien Dinh, who commanded more than 80,000 marines in Thien Dinh. While drunk, Bat Gioi flirted with Hang Nga, even going to the palace to tease her. Too angry, Hang Nga told the Jade Emperor, the Jade Emperor angry banished Thien Bong Nguyen Soai to the world.
While drunk, down the ceiling to reincarnate, Thien Bong Nguyen Soai fell into the pig's door by mistake, transforming into a pig in the yang world. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva named Thien Bong Nguyen Soai as Tru Ngo Nang, the word "Tru" means pig, symbolizing the cultivator's desire; and the word "Capable" means talent, bravery, and ability.
Tru Ngo Nang means "pig (reincarnated) realizes his ability" to imply that the Eight Precepts always overestimates themselves and forgets to have a terrible body. Tru Bat Gioi was originally an ordinary mortal, lazy, debauched, and depraved. With such a starting point, the Eight Precepts in the process of cultivation must also face all human hearts and desires.
On the way to get the sutras, the Eight Precepts encountered a lot of trouble and danger because of greed for food and sleep. Without the prevention and help of Sun Wukong, Tru Bat Gioi would soon become a "delicious dish" in the mouths of the demons.
It is also because of not keeping morals and letting go of humanity, so it is difficult for the Eight Precepts to promote their inherent supernatural powers, and often retreat in the exorcisms of monsters. But Tru Bat Gioi is greedy for work, always taking the merits of others to record his own success.
Whenever he encounters a monster that prevents him, even Sun Wukong has no plan, but Tru Bat Gioi always estimates his share of the group's wealth and remembers it and then runs away. Not only has the shape of "half a pig, half a human", but in the Bat Gioi also fully converges the human heart and the desires of ordinary people, such as laziness, gluttony, greed, jealousy, and likes to put things down. slandering fellow teachers.
On the way to get the scriptures, high mountains, deep water, there are countless tribulations in the middle of the road. Whenever facing difficulties and tribulations, Tru Bat Gioi easily demanded to withdraw, giving up halfway.
In other words, because of the weakest foundation, the requirements for the Eight Precepts only stop at "Wu Ngo Nang" and "Eight Precepts", which also means that it is necessary to keep the precepts, and to correct the human mind. can enter the samanas.
Sa Ngo Tinh - human nature and patience
Sa Tang was originally Quyen Liem general in heaven, just because he accidentally broke a glass of glazed glass, he was banished by Ngoc Hoang as a monster in Luu Sa Ha in the lower world, specializing in harming people and demanding to eat children. .
In the poem The Tripitaka, written before the work of Journey to the West was born, Sa Sang once said to the shaman Tripitaka: "Under my neck are the skulls of people whom I have eaten meat."
And that is the life of the previous 9 monks - the same 9 previous lives of Tang Sang. Later, thanks to the help of the Bodhisattva, it was Tang Sang who was able to touch Sa Sang in the 10th life.
After becoming a disciple of Tang Sang, Sa Ngo Tinh gave up a lot of his demonic nature in the past. Ngo Tinh led the horse, carried the luggage, worked very hard and did not show anger when criticized. This disciple followed his master steadfastly throughout his journey to his destination.
The Dharma name of Sa Sang is therefore Ngo Tinh: Static to overcome the dynamic, which is not pure; still to be patient, to endure. Overcoming many difficulties and obstacles symbolized by 81 tribulations, those who are determined to practice will perfect themselves and become enlightened.
