When mentioning Khoa Pug, it's impossible not to mention Vuong Pham - one of his vlogger companions in the US, who leads a private personal life that many admire.
Vuong Pham, whose real name is Pham Dinh Quoc Vuong, was born in 1991 in Ho Chi Minh City and is widely known as a YouTuber with millions of followers. However, behind the image of a successful content creator lies a challenging entrepreneurial journey, valuable lessons, and well-structured business strategies in both technology and real estate in the United States.
Currently, Vuong Pham is primarily active in two fields: technology and real estate. He has shared many times about projects worth tens, even hundreds of millions of USD. However, few people know that to achieve his current position, he went through an extremely difficult beginning when he arrived in the United States at the age of 16.
At 16, she left Cu Chi for America with nothing but the clothes on her back.
In 2007, at the age of 16, Vuong Pham left his hometown of Cu Chi to live in Minnesota (USA). Despite having relatives there, his life was far from easy. His near-zero English skills made studying and integrating into society a major challenge.
Coming from a financially struggling family, Vuong Pham lived with his uncle and had to become independent at a young age. He worked various part-time jobs to make ends meet: cleaning at his grandmother's company, washing dishes, serving at restaurants... These seemingly simple jobs became crucial foundations, helping him develop discipline, understand the value of hard work, and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset from a very early age.
It was while working as a waiter at a restaurant that Vuong Pham had the opportunity to chat with a regular customer who was doing business on Amazon. The story of selling online on the e-commerce platform opened up a new direction for him.
A $5 deal paves the way for online business.
The real opportunity arose when a cousin asked him to help sell an old game disc on eBay for $5. With his keen business sense and thorough market research, Vuong Pham sold the item for $36. This small success made him realize the immense potential of e-commerce.
Starting with a small amount of capital, he began trying his hand at selling other used video game discs. After just 7 days, he earned a profit of $15 – not a large sum, but enough to motivate him. He then expanded, selling for friends and earning nearly $5,000.
This was a significant amount of money for a young international student. However, the joy was short-lived as Vuong Pham suffered his first setback in his career.
Valuable lessons learned during the early days of starting a business in America.
Due to a lack of understanding of U.S. law, particularly regulations regarding sales tax and income tax, Vuong Pham failed to fully declare his income from his eBay business. As a result, he was ordered by the tax authorities to pay a large sum of money along with penalties.
This tax recovery almost wiped out all his accumulated capital, putting his fledgling business in jeopardy. It was a huge shock, but also a turning point that helped him mature.
Following the incident, Vuong Pham proactively delved into US tax law, consulted experts, and built a rigorous accounting system. He believes this was a costly but necessary lesson, helping him to be more cautious in financial management and compliant with the law throughout his future business endeavors.
Drawing from his experience in small-scale online businesses, Vuong Pham founded Fastboy Marketing – a company specializing in providing advertising services, management software, and POS (Point of Sale) systems for Vietnamese-owned nail salons in the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe.
The startup idea stemmed from real-world observation. He once shared that people tend to prioritize convenience. Therefore, he focused on addressing inconveniences in store management such as payment processing, customer service, and automated marketing.
According to official information, Fastboy Marketing was listed in the Inc. 5000 for two consecutive years – a ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the US. Estimated revenue of over $10 million per year and serving more than 16,000 customers demonstrates the significant scale of this company.
Building a technology ecosystem that serves the Vietnamese community abroad has helped Vuong Pham create a solid financial foundation, serving as a springboard for larger investment plans.
The path to becoming a dollar millionaire
Since 2020, Vuong Pham has been investing heavily in infrastructure real estate. He buys land, builds houses, and develops them into rental properties. In July 2025, he shared that he had purchased a building in Houston. According to him, the initial construction cost of this building was approximately $50-60 million.
Furthermore, Vuong Pham owns over 1,000 hectares of land, two large ranches, and a safari eco-tourism resort. He is also developing a land development project with plans to build over 400 homes in Houston, Texas.
Speaking about his connection with real estate, Vuong Pham said that his mother used to be in the business, so he was exposed to and learned from it since childhood. In addition, observing the strong growth of the market and the capital accumulated from his technology company gave him the confidence to expand his investments.
A special relationship with Khoa Pug
In Vietnam, Vuong Pham became widely known for appearing in videos with YouTuber Khoa Pug around 2021. The two have previously promoted joint projects such as opening a hotpot restaurant and buying an airplane.
Following the controversy surrounding the financial investment between Khoa Pug and Johnny Đặng, Vương Phạm focused on developing his personal YouTube channel. Currently, his channel has approximately 1.45 million subscribers, with content revolving around business, life in the US, and farm experiences.
On Facebook, he has over 1.1 million followers. Vuong Pham is not afraid to respond to dissenting opinions. Regarding negative accusations, he asserts that no real estate investor he has worked with has ever used accusatory language to describe him.
A simple lifestyle despite possessing a large fortune.
Despite owning many valuable assets, Wang Fan and his family choose a simple lifestyle. He is married to Brenda Lam and has two children. Instead of living permanently in a multi-million dollar mansion, his family mainly lives in a normal house on a farm.
Wang Pham once candidly shared that he went through a phase of chasing after designer brands, trying to buy suits worth thousands of dollars. However, after experiencing it, he realized that true value doesn't lie in expensive items but in suitability and comfort. This perspective partly explains why, despite owning considerable wealth, he maintains an approachable style, from his clothing to his daily life.
Despite settling and developing his career in the US, Vuong Pham still frequently returns to Vietnam. He built a spacious house for his mother in Cu Chi, complete with a large orchard. This action demonstrates his strong connection to his family and homeland – something he has repeatedly emphasized in his videos sharing his life.
