In recent days, the story surrounding Lindo – the young man who appeared in Quang Linh's team's videos in Africa – has continued to attract attention from the online community.
After leaving Quang Linh's group and returning to Vietnam, Lindo caused a stir in public opinion due to numerous speculations surrounding his relationship with his former team. Just when it seemed the controversy would die down as he was believed to have found a new direction, social media was once again abuzz with news that the person considered the "new owner" unexpectedly demanded to buy Lindo, along with a sum of $2,000 USD.
Specifically, an account named Tủn Châu Phi – who is believed to have brought Lindo to Vietnam – posted a video announcing their intention to terminate the partnership. Not only did they stop the collaboration, but they also stated they were willing to pay an additional $2,000 to "terminate the contract" and hand Lindo over to another entity if a qualified company could take him in.
In the video, Tun Chau Phi says: "I'm posting this to appeal to any companies or businesses that have the capacity and legal qualifications to bring Lindo back in time for Tet (Lunar New Year). I will contribute an additional $2,000 and hand over all previously received bookings. I promise to cooperate on a non-profit basis. I will voluntarily provide all relevant documents and procedures, and any assistance needed. I am handing over Lindo to the new owner. I request to no longer be associated with Lindo."
This statement quickly spread across various online forums, sparking a flurry of conflicting comments. However, just a few hours after being posted, the clip was unexpectedly deleted from the person's account, further fueling public curiosity about the truth of the story and the real reason behind the "transfer" decision.
Following these recent developments, the online community is divided in opinion. Some express sympathy for Lindo's situation, likening it to "abandoning a child in the marketplace." According to this view, the constant changes in management, from leaving his old team to the potential termination of his partnership with a new one, could significantly impact his image and career. Many others believe that in the volatile landscape of social media, stability in direction and management is crucial for any individual seeking to build a lasting image.
Conversely, some opinions expressed schadenfreude, suggesting this was a "lesson" for Lindo after he left Quang Linh's team – the person who had helped him gain widespread recognition. This group argued that Lindo's fame was closely tied to Quang Linh's image and activities with the African team, therefore, separating to pursue a solo career wasn't as easy as many people thought.
Regarding Tủn Châu Phi, the person who posted the clip proposing the transfer, he also received quite a few negative comments. Some netizens criticized the public call for "handing over" as unprofessional, even suggesting that this action was like "poaching" from Quang Linh's team but without a long-term strategy. Some advised him to be more cautious in his collaboration decisions, because managing a figure who already has public attention is not simply a matter of profit.
Furthermore, many commentators argue that Lindo's rise to fame is undeniably partly due to Quang Linh's name and the activities of the African team. Therefore, the idea that simply "acquiring" Lindo will quickly generate significant revenue might be an oversimplification. In reality, success on social media is often the result of a collective effort, encompassing content, visuals, and communication strategy.
Currently, after the clip was deleted, neither Lindo nor Tun Chau Phi have made any further official statements to clarify the situation.
Lindo shows off his generous salary when he returns to Vietnam, more than when he works with the African team?
