The story happened on November 22, at a wedding in My Tinh An commune, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province.

While the wedding was taking place, the groom’s family discovered that 20 million VND was missing from the bride’s bag. They suspected that the two girls who did the bride’s makeup, Ms. MN (25 years old, My Tho City) and Ms. NTNT (31 years old, Tan Phuoc District), had taken the money. After discovering the incident, the groom’s family asked to check the suitcases and belongings of the two girls. The entire search process was live-streamed by the two girls on social media.

Ms. N. and Ms. T. suggested calling the police to resolve the matter, but the groom's family refused because they did not want to ruin the atmosphere of the wedding. The incident became tense when the groom's family asked the two girls to strip down for a body check. Feeling extremely upset and frustrated, the two girls burst into tears but still agreed to strip down for the check.

After nearly 30 minutes of searching but not finding any money, some of the groom's family members came in to apologize to the two girls. The groom's mother also came down to apologize, hoping to be forgiven. However, she gave the excuse that the search was due to the drunken person not knowing what was going on.

The two girls did not accept and said they would sit back and wait for the owner of the bridal dress and makeup shop to come down to resolve the matter clearly.

According to Dan Tri newspaper, by the morning of November 24, My Tinh An Commune Police (Cho Gao District, Tien Giang) had invited relevant people to work and consolidate documents for handling according to regulations.

Initial verification results show that TTN (39 years old) and NTKL (41 years old) (relatives of the groom's family) and ND (year of birth and address unknown) were the ones who directly searched the suitcases of the two makeup artists.

On the morning of November 21, Mr. NNT (47 years old, residing in My Tinh An commune) held a wedding ceremony for his son. The bride hired TTMN and NTNT as makeup artists.

At 10am the same day, the groom's mother discovered that 20 million VND was missing and informed her husband and family members. Afterwards, Mr. T. and his wife said, "Let's look for it later, see if it's lost, and ask family members to ignore it and not look for that money anymore."

Mr. T.'s younger siblings, Ms. NTKL (41 years old), TNN (39 years old) and a man named D. asked two makeup girls, N. and T., to go into a private room to search the suitcase containing makeup tools.

Not only that, they also searched MN and NT; searched the luggage of the two girls. After searching and searching, they did not find the missing money, the 3 people mentioned above did not apologize...

When the incident happened, Mr. T. and his wife, son and daughter-in-law were entertaining guests so they did not know or witness it.

The commune police invited NTKL to come in for questioning. Initially, she said she was washing dishes behind the house when she heard that the homeowner had lost money, so she went up to check. When she went up to the room, she saw N. and D. rummaging through the belongings of the two girls putting on makeup, so she went in to search.

Then, Ms. L. asked Ms. MN to let her body be checked. Ms. MN agreed and took off her shirt. Ms. L. searched but did not find any money so she left.

Ms. TTN stated that she asked the two girls to put on makeup and go into the room to check the suitcases and bags. Ms. N. directly searched a black suitcase. Because she could not find the missing money and the two girls cried and reacted, Ms. N. went out without searching the two girls...
