Car crashes into house, killing 17-month-old baby: Shocked by neighbors' story, mother faints

In a small house in group 10, Nong Tien ward, Ms. Xuan (mother of the 17-month-old baby) with a sad face, emaciated figure, red eyes always looks at the portrait of her daughter.

Recounting the time of the incident on the afternoon of December 21, Ms. Xuan said that at around 5:00 p.m., she carried her daughter to the kitchen to get a bag of cookies and bring it upstairs to eat. Then, she carried her daughter to the door to let her play. On the edge of the wall outside the door, the child's maternal grandmother was sitting picking shrimp.

"I sat facing inside the house, then took the cake to feed my daughter. She held the cake and kept on staring at it, then pushed my hand away to go play somewhere else. When she had taken about 3 steps, I turned towards her and saw a car rushing towards me. At that moment, I quickly reached out to pull my daughter back but it was too late because the car was going so fast that I was thrown off the ground and stunned on the spot," Ms. Xuan recalled.

Just a few minutes later, Ms. Xuan woke up in a state of panic, but the first thing she thought about was her daughter. "When I woke up, I looked around in panic and saw two people running outside. I didn't think much, just looked to see where my daughter was but couldn't find her," Ms. Xuan said.

Not seeing her daughter, the mother frantically turned over all the furniture that had fallen because of the car crash and shouted "my daughter, where are you, my daughter, my daughter". Then she rushed back into the house to search everywhere.

"At that time, a neighbor ran over to tell me where my daughter was, but I really didn't know. While I was looking for my daughter, the neighbor shouted loudly, "The baby is stuck under the car wheel." I panicked and ran over, but couldn't get my child out right away," the heartbroken mother recounted.

Not having enough strength to move the wheel to save the little girl, the neighbor quickly ran outside shouting for help. Hearing the cry for help, the people around quickly ran in and together lifted the wheel.

"As soon as people lifted the wheel, I rushed in to carry my child out. Right after that, I didn't think much and followed everyone to take my child to the hospital. At first, everyone said my child would "survive the ordeal", so I calmed down a bit. But when the doctor came out and announced that my child had passed away, I was in so much pain that I didn't want to believe it was true," Ms. Xuan said, bursting into tears.

According to local residents, when Ms. Xuan carried her daughter out, the woman was in a state of panic, running and crying.

"Out of love for her child, the mother cried continuously at the hospital because she could not bear the pain of losing her child. Only this morning did her spirit stabilize a bit to go home to bury her daughter," said a local resident.

According to local residents: "At the time of the incident, the child's grandfather was sitting outside the door picking shrimp, while the mother and child were playing inside. I don't understand how the car managed to go over the extra step and then rushed inside, hitting the child and the mother," said a neighbor near Mr. T's house.

At this time, people around heard a loud noise, many people then ran over to see what happened. Many people then together lifted the car to get the baby out and quickly took him to the hospital.

"I was in the vegetable garden when I heard a loud noise, like a big collision. I ran back and heard shouts for help, then a lot of people ran into T's house. I didn't understand what was going on until T's wife and their little girl ran out, panicking, running and crying. T's wife's clothes were disheveled, she looked very weak, I got closer and saw the baby's face was purple. After that, everyone took the baby to the hospital," Ms. H shared.

Talking about Mr. T’s family situation, many people living in Group 10, Nong Tien Ward said that Mr. T and his wife sell gas and gas stoves. They are gentle and sociable people, but Mr. T and his wife are infertile, after many years of marriage they finally had a baby girl.

"The couple is very gentle and sociable, everyone here loves them. Everyone here knows that T and his wife had to wait many years to have a daughter. They were already infertile, but now that something like this happened, everyone feels sorry for them," a neighbor shared.
