Bab.y Three case suspected of having "cow tongue line": Seller suffers heavy losses, all because of ViruSs?

Once a ho.t toy, Bab.y Three is now facing a strong wave of boycotts because of suspicions of having a "cow tongue line". Many sellers have accepted to cu.t losses and sell off to sell out as soon as possible.

Recently, the Bab.y Three toy product originating from China has caused a stir in public opinion due to suspicions of containing sensitive images, specifically the illegal "cow tongue line". In response to strong reactions from consumers, authorities quickly stepped in to inspect and handle the case.

On March 11, speaking with Tien Phong reporter, Mr. Tran Huu Linh - Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development - Ministry of Industry and Trade said that products printed with the "cow tongue line" are a violation of current legal regulations, affecting national security and territorial sovereignty of Vietnam.

"We have information about these products and will direct the market management force to inspect. If there are any violations regarding the image, we will impose penalties and request recalls according to regulations," said Mr. Linh.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department said that it had directed market management teams in districts to monitor and inspect the sources of goods used to produce, import, and distribute Bab.y Three products. If violations related to maps that infringe on territorial sovereignty are detected, the business unit will be strictly handled according to the law.

Authorities will also check invoices and documents to see if they are smuggled goods. In addition, market management forces will also check the content of toxic chemicals that can cause cancer in textile products imported, manufactured and traded on the market.

It is known that the wave of "boycotting" Bab.y Three originated from streamer ViruSs (Dang Tien Hoang) posting information declaring to stop importing and trading this item. The reason given by the male streamer was discovering sensitive images on the Tho Thi Tran Ver.2 version, specifically in the part showing eye bags and tears.

In addition to ViruSs, Anna's Glasses and Snacks with Mrs. Tuyet also announced that they have stopped cooperating with the production and distribution of Bab.y Three after receiving information about the controversial image on the product.

Faced with fierce opposition, many businesses quickly "cleared" the "Town Rabbit Ver.2" version to avoid losses. In a Bab.y Three wholesale group with more than 300,000 members, many sellers posted information about clearing out inventory at deep discounts.

A seller named TM happily shared that he still sells well because Bab.y Three is still sought after, but he has to accept a loss of 350,000 to 500,000 VND/product. Another seller also said that he initially imported this item for 1.7 million VND/piece, but after the boycott wave, he was forced to sell at a loss of 800,000 VND/piece.

While some sellers importing Bab.y Three "Town Rabbit Ver2" are selling at a loss, some other sellers have declared to "boycott" this toy to the end. Typically, seller NL shared that from now on, he will not sell any Bab.y Three products anymore.

In response to the public backlash in Vietnam, CEO Xiao Bai of DaPiaoLiang Company - the manufacturer of Bab.y Three - has spoken out via social media. They have responded with subtitles explaining the product design and affirming that if any flaws are found, they will recall the product. Customers who have purchased the product with this expression will be given a free replacement, with details on the exchange location to be announced later.

In addition, the CEO also said that the face of Bab.y Three "Town Rabbit version 2" is a completely random gothic graffiti drawing. At the same time, he affirmed that all lines, color blocks and symbols are based on abstract and fantasy art design, not reflecting the influence of any specific images, symbols or geographical lines in reality.
