Striker Nguyen Xuan Son and his wife Marcele Seippel often give each other sweet words, expressing their love like when they first fell in love, even though they have been together for more than 10 years and have two children.

On his wife's birthday on February 8, Xuan Son sent his wishes to his wife Marcele Seippel: "Happy birthday my love. Thank you for being a wonderful woman and being with me through good times and bad. You are the gift that God has given me in my life. Xuan Son and Marcele dated when they were both teenagers in their home country of Brazil. The two first met at a Christmas party at a friend's house. After recovering, Xuan Son decided to move to Denmark to play for Næstved BK in the Second Division because he could not meet the professional requirements in Japan. He only scored 4 goals in 18 matches and the club was relegated. At the end of 2019, Xuan Son moved to Vietnam, opening a new chapter in his career.

Xuan Son later became a Vietnamese citizen and was called up to the national team for the 2024 ASEAN Cup. He was only eligible to play from the last match of the group stage against Myanmar but made a splash by scoring 7 goals in 4 matches, contributing greatly to helping the Vietnamese team win the championship. Unfortunately, he suffered injuries to his right tibia and fibula in the second leg of the final against Thailand on January 5.

After surgery and intensive care, active recovery, the good news for fans is that Nguyen Xuan Son can put away crutches to practice. If the treatment process goes well, the 27-year-old striker can return to the field sooner than expected.
